getting very quiet on here again!

well yesterday was quite good. i did eat 2 choc bars and a pack of skittles so about 600 cals in total :o but burnt off more than that at gym. and was healthy rest of day so think was good.

so i have had a sfd today! not going to go and buy any rubbish and instead have made a banana, raspberry and pineapple smoothie for later after my dinner. made one for tomorrow as well :A

went and did body pump this morning and there was no little weights left so had to go a bit heavier than normal on some tracks which nearly killed me :o but have discovered can go heavier than i thought on one track so thats good. then had a little swim and walked there and back!

barely sat down today as after gym i went and took stuff to the tip, cleaned the inside of my car and cleaned the house. just made a pot of thai curry for dinner (freeze left overs) and made cous cous for my lunch and prepped all tomorrows snacks. made extra brown rice so i can freeze some as i prefer brown but it takes too long to cook! also packed my gym bag (assuming i can still walk after pump today :o) so im all ready for tomorrow :A

cannot wait for my bath later :T

  • No lycra exercise as its a rest day, so went to JLs for my free coffee & cake, nice little walk into town and back in the sunshine. Got as far as typing 'SFD #10' and then realised I'm off to the pub tonight, oops! Not even budgeted for, but have arranged to meet friend at a pub further away than our local on the basis of it being cheaper.

Had an easy day at work today. It's one of the few good things about working Bank Holidays, hardly anyone bothers us.

Forgot to weigh myself this morning. Wasn't feeling too great and it completely slipped my mind. Will do my best to do it tomorrow morning.

Got a slight issue with my dieting/losing weight though. Most of my food that I have in is carbs. I don't want to waste the food. I won't waste the food in fact so going to have to work hard on portion control until the cupboards are bare again.

Good news is that I didn't have a single Easter egg yesterday. I am allergic to chocolate so Easter Sunday isn't the greatest of days for me.

Evening, had a day out with the family today and then dropped into hey diddle lidl for a few bits (nappies and fruit mainly) and found the most delicious cheese coleslaw with mature cheddar in, oh it was amazing and under a pound and much better than the high end makes for double the price, dead impressed.

Both DC have got into a habit of waking up at 545am which is a killer and if they continue to do it now I'm going back to work, I will be a zombie! I'm wondering if it's because DD has been on holiday from school for 2 weeks and they aren't sleeping as well? Who knows but I'm shattered so I'm off to bed after this.

Sounds like you all have been busy over Easter. Well done on the SFDs and the successes and recognising where we all need to try a bit harder!I've had family staying so I've blown my food budget though I've managed to keep most other things on track.

Not only has this thread made me aware of my spending its also made me accountable for my lack of exercise and frequent poor food choices as I made them my goals for this my first month of one of Kats challenges and I am nowhere near close....

So things are about to change. Actual thought it going to go towards fitness each week.

So the TV is going off in the evenings and the kettlebells are coming out.

I'm going to measure myself and start again on Wednesday as I'm on a training course tomorrow. Bring it on! :)

Have had a peaceful mid-month day. Dd and next door's dd played for hours; the sun shone and it was warm outside.

I got 2 loads of washing done and nipped out to do the shopping too. Snuck in a short sneaky - but sweaty - workout while the girls were playing, decluttered a dozen items and tidied aplenty.

Dd and dh are back at school/work tomorrow, I return on weds. So tues is my day for a biiiig workout. I've already chosen it, and it'll be challenging!

kat, have you been suffering from the mid-month blehs? With a fresh fitness focus, I reckon you'll go great guns and lead by example - as you always have.

Must remember to set an alarm for tomorrow - wouldn't do to oversleep on the first dayback!

    Evening all,

I was just about to post (at 9.15pm) that I had finally had another SFD and then OH told me we had run out tea bags and the lads were about to pop round (he has been on nights so hasn't socialised for a week). So being the good girlfriend, I have just popped out to the petrol station to get some very overpriced tea bags, grrrrr.

In other news, I went to the gym :) did some heavy lifting jobs :) and walked the dogs :) then I ate 4 large cookies and had cheesy mash with dinner :o I'm hoping that they cancel each other out???? :rotfl:

Tomorrow, I will avoid the naughty foods and exercise.

Managed 2 walks yesterday but only one today. Spendy day today - kept convincing myself I did not need to go to the SM (quick fridge sort gave me 7 things to put away in the freezer) then remembered at 5.45pm that i had offered to buy vimt* cordial for DS3's gf. (meant to ask him to get it instead but he disappeared to the city at short notice) so went to corner shop. Will update signature later - lost track of spending, have all the receipts but there were several odd bits of money floating around this month.

Busy day. Once DS3 had gone I set to on the pit of despair - his room. I can only get in there when he is out for the day and it can take 4-5 hours. Luckily it wasn't as bad as usual, quite reasonable once all the rubbish was removed + 4 quilts, more pillows and a couple of throws - most have been washed or pegged/ thrown over the washing line to air. Pulled the mattress his friend was using off the floor, only 3 extra clothing items lurking.

Swept and mopped the floor and re-made the bed with clean bedding. Was feeling tired and a bit wobbly (must be all that lifting things over the washing line) so am leaving the rest (bed moving, painting bit behind headboard etc) till next Saturday - he and his gf go into city for birthday meal with friends, she goes home, he brings little stair repairer back.

Done sitting down jobs in between, peeled and chopped veg, sliced leg of lamb, even cleaned fridge sitting down - just need to lean forward rather than bending/ squatting to do it (not sure my body will do squatting atm - still hurt every time I see lunges - we were doing those last time I took part in the exercise class, they still remind me of John Cleese doing Ministry of funny walks and also the John Bishop personal trainer sketch).

Fell asleep when I stopped to eat so feeling tired but happy - may take it a bit easy tomorrow, have some paperwork I could get on with. Just do a few bits then maybe I can manage to walk to the physio appointment on Wednesday, see how I go from there. Actually got thanked by DS3 but not sure if it was for doing the room or the fact that the bed was made up.
