Evening All,
It seems very quiet on here at the moment!! My O*ado order arrived this morning, YAY! Tons of stuff, I don't think I'll be topping up my store cupboard or freezer for months!! Had to pop to shops for milk and veg tho, so no SFD for today.
DD and me are going out for lunch tmrw with the Aussie contingent (who are paying) and my Dad, its at a posh hotel so I had to go and get dd something suitable to wear as she lives in jeans and tracky bottoms, neither of which would be any good. Popped to our local shopping centre and was hoping for a few cheapie bits in H*M but they had nothingended up in N*xt and spent £37 on a pinafore dress & top, a cardigan and shoes. Gutted. She'll be wearing that outfit every day for the next 6 months! Am dreading it as well as my dad is very hard work and isn't particularly nice to my brother - I see fireworks ahead
Anyhoo, beetroot chutney on the stove and chicken roasting in the oven, so off I head back to the kitchen. Totals so far:
9/15 SFD
£96.52/£100 food budget
6/30 items decluttered
4/18 Exercise 3x weekly
18/30 Meal plan and eat 3 times a day
£0/£3 food bank
Get all paperwork organised
All a/c I do for others up to date
19/30 Keep the flat looking straight, not the current 'a bomb's just gone off' look
18/30 NO TV

Claiming 2 NSDs for today and tomorrow. Over on travel budget as I had a taxi to mum's yesterday - 2 large baskets (1 hot food, 1 cold) and small rucksack with presents and crafty bits and I had been cooking from 7.30am. Over on food budget as well but lost track of the figures - should have been free at Sainsbobs (nect*r points) but till wouldn't take card -not usual shop and nect*r hq were shut. Mega shop at Tessimo cost £33 something, I think but that was with £15 off and mum had given me £10 for ingredients and there was somebody's Easter egg money that I didn't pass on - they've had chocolate and cake, if they want more they can go to the shops themselves.
Overall I feel that I am winning - I started the month without enough money to cover all the dd debit payments let alone luxuries like food and am lining up to be in a much better position going into next month. Simplified a lot of the small he owes me, I owe him, this should be there arrangements.
Sooo relieved that DS3 got his final grant payment (he hasn't been going in very often - they have really messed his subject choices up and he got de-motivated (doesn't take much) and has been concentrating on games -making (think the last was not a great success - usually gives me updated sales figures the first few days/weeks). However he is working hard on the next one.
Gf is being supportive as well - her parents said a few negative things last time he visited (they loved him at first - he has the 'tall gene' and he's very good with little sisters, will sit for hours letting them plait/ curl his hair and even put make-up on him) but they are now back-tracking, saying they were a little harsh.
Yesterday was busy with cooking and crafting - think I was on my feet for more than an hour but pleasant day overall - I didn't tell anyone exactly what I was cooking, so was very relaxed and threw things together (cheated on a couple of things but when they're 10p ys, not everything has to be made from scratch). Lots of compliments and got asked how to make some of them. Brought back some leftover salad bits and a bag of prawns - mum and her partner are invited out today and tomorrow.
Fell asleep trying to check my e-mails, slept from 7.30pm until 2am, then read and slept for a few more hours and now I feel wonderful. Just so relaxed, nothing hurting - done everything I had to do, everything else will get done sometime and it's holiday time. The decluttering alone - calculated that at least 2 cubic metres of stuff has gone this week, mostly one small rucksack at a time. Every so often I realise how simple life is, then I get busy again and it seems complicated - just going to enjoy the zen simplicity for now.

Mothernerd....I am so glad you have had a good day, your posts on here are always inspirational and inevitably make me get on and do something (usually decluttering) as most of the time the odds seem stacked against you but you beat them down, step by step! Sleep and simplifying stuff - either payment arrangements or physical stuff always seems to make the world seem brighter for me too. I wish you and all the other raindrops a well earnt restful Easter Sunday!
...best I now get on and get my place ready, new paying guests are renting the whole house from tomorrow, and I am far from ready, it is like a bombsite! Time to stop writing lists and finish something!!!!0 -
Very quick post so I can have posted for today and tomorrow I will update totals.
I've done a small food shop. Spent less than £15. It's been a glorious day here so I've done lots of exercise too
Hope everyone is having a lovely weekend. Xx0 -
Did a little food shop today (more nectar points used) and hoping I will only need milk now, going to stay with parents next weekend for a few weeks so that'll be helpful in reducing spends. Exercise #14 done, hoping to finish the Ripped In 30 program by the time I go away!
Sold a few bits on eBay and listed some clothes, so may well hit the decluttering target too. Listed the gumtree stuff on ebay as collection only, will make less cos of fees but every little helps...New graduate trying to get debt-free.

Hello Raindrops....
After feeling a little bit blah about things over the last few days I feel the need to check in and see how everyone is getting along? I am at work (deep joy) and realizing why things haven't been amazing recently.
I have nothing to strive for aside from doing the odd shift now and then and I feel directionless, a bit dejected by my increasing weight (due to work and being to tired) and thus not wanting to do anything or engage with anyone because none of my clothes fit. No joke - no jeans fit me as all - that all 5 pairs that I own. My skin is much much better though but still not perfect.
Even my knickers are getting tight.:(:(:(
So things are about to change. Actual thought it going to go towards fitness each week. I need to recognize that I am no longer 19 years old with the body-fat % to match.
So the TV is going off in the evenings and the kettlebells are coming out.
I almost want to start a new thread with pictures just to get myself motivated but I will spare you the pain of looking at them - but I am going to start a new thread. Maybe with my measurements. Or put it on my travel thread - that might make more sense.
So there you go. Will be reading through the posts I have missed through the night and commenting where I can help!

Hi NSK...I am feeling very similar! In fact since Sarah coined the phrase proper-lycra-wearing-exercise, I've realised how little of that I ever do these days. I've made it from running 10 miles at a time to coach potato in 12 months, via a few temporary joint problems and the surgery for the big C. There is no real medical reason not to exercise now (in fact the opposite) but I've got so used to resting up that actually getting going again hasn't occurred by itself. I'm off on holiday with DD in 5 weeks to Snowdonia - I'd like to puff up the mountains a little less slowly after her...and none of my clothes fit properly either. Fancy a 5 week push with me?0
