Hey all...
Glad you are on the mend Kat - jealous of your admirers!!! Whenever I think I'm being eyed up they end up having a dodgy eye or a squint and I just 'thought' they were looking my way, or said admirer turns out to have been staring at the person behind me (all the while I've been smiling and thinking my luck is in haha!) <cries!!!> :-(...
Good on you really - it's a great feeling <so I'm told haha> to be fancied!!!
SFD today although did spend a bit on Sunday restocking the fridge with some healthy stuff again. Relaxing evening ahead planned!

I'm back from Devon. I have been reading but not really had the time to post.
Managed to only have two SD's whilst there, and one of them the OH was going to give me the money for but she was really busy and I had the money in my budget. The other SD was on Sunday getting some salad bits and fuel. I think my fuel budget will come in well under. I planned a visit to yorkshire to see my folks but I've run out of weekends now.
Managed to find two possible styles for bridesmaid dresses and actually felt comfortable in them too. Only had to try on five in total which meant it was a fairly trauma free day for me. Lovely OH though said she would take me to a kitchen gadget shop if I needed to find my happy place..LOL.
It's payday for me on Friday, well, Thursday. I'm interested in seeing what is left at the end of the four weeks but I have to take out any payments due to the end of the month. I think there may be a £100 or possibly £200 left to go to the house fund.
Hope everyone who is feeling unwell is starting to feel a little better. I'm starting to wonder if I've got some sort of an allergy to something. May have to investigate further.Feb NST #4

Sounds like busy weekends all round - glad to hear people on the mend and birthday celebrations for little people are being planned and dresses found.
I had a close encounter with British Birds of Prey this weekend, much fun to be had. Was awesome but I had to buy (second hand!!) a book the lady that ran the centre was talking about and buy lunch with the group...
Luckystarr - I was struggling but have got a bit better into the month at buying everything on the days I spend, so yesterday I put petrol in as I was already spending, hoping for NSD today and tomorrow as I did food shopping too. I also have not allowed myself anywhere near the shops though my office is in town which is helping too. I also haven't taken my cards with me to work to try and break the spending habits too. It's a work in progress for everyone, some people are amazing at NSDs
Doing great decluttering must set myself a target next month as I want to keep up the momentum. Off to update my signature, looking much better, just need to get out of the office at lunch time and do more exercise!0 -
Hi all. Feeling a LOT better this evening
Well I did spend on Nandos yesterday, I got my daughter to bring me some. That was £15 for a platter, as her dad gets NHS discount of 20% :T
Just did a faster payment to virgin for the minimum on my card and will pay the remainder on pay day. Nothing to report, as have been too ill to do anything recently. So glad to hear your on the mend too Kat!

Luckystarr-you will get periods like this. But, what is your final goal? To be debt free? Can you visualise it? See how your life will change once you are? Everytime you want to buy something, visualise this thing your aspiring to. Or, tell yourself, whatever it is, you'll buy it tomorrow. Chances are, you actually won't want it. It's important to have a purpose for frugality, if that's not how you are naturally. Or perhaps give yourself a wider buffer, while still hitting the debt. Then you won't feel deprived. You CAN do it :T:A Your Always in my heart, you never ever will be forgotten-9/9/14:heart2:0 -

Spends today were:- £4 on exhibition entry
- £1.10 on a coke in the pub afterwards
- £9.99 on specialist craft magazine. Regretted this one but it's the first I've bought in ages. Now I remember why
The other non-thrifty action of today was getting a new phone. I had a monthly budget in mind and am under that, and got cashback which covered the cost of the handset. It worked out about £100 better than renewing with my current provider and I have the handset I wanted too.
Back on the thrifty wagon tomorrow...0 -
Some good advice been given on trying to stop spending.I've fancied treating myself to something nice. Don't know what. Maybe I should allow myself a couple of pounds a week "treat" money.
Another NSD today. £38 made on e bay last night so figures looking good.
11/20 NSD £66/£200 made.

Thank youI feel very guilty but know it's something that we need and we need some time to be together without the day-to-day stuff being around.
We are going to Majorca. We are very lucky that my parents have 2 months a year in a private time share on an apartment and are happy for us to use it free of charge. It's an old apartment and most of the others are owned by local families but it looks straight out to sea and is literally on the beach
Today has been a spend day as caught up with a friend over lunch and then finally got around to using my birthday money from OH to have the afternoon at a spa
I also bought some more cleaning products as I have signed up to another challenge, to do with cleaning, to try and inspire me to get my house sorted and to enjoy my home more. Today's challenge list was in the kitchen and it has made the world of differenceI made a trip to the shops today to preserve a planned SFD tomorrow, fingers crossed

Good morning
I'm posting early today because I'm off to start my new job (Yay!) and then Mama and Papa Mooo are in town so by the time I get home tonight I'll be ready for bed and might forget to post
I'm putting today down as a SFD because I'm going to take my lunch to work with me and have no other needs for today. I also think I should get my daily exercise today because once I get the bus to town it's about a 15 minute walk to the building and then I'll go for a walk at lunchtime too.
Have a great day everyone0 -
