mothernerd - glad you are bouncing back now.
applemuncher - your workout sound tiring but I have no idea what half of those things are.
Yesterday was a SFD despite going into town to collect something from Milletts. I ordered a pair of walking shoes on 2 April for DD's residential, I allowed 6 days to get them and they took 8 days and this was delivered to store. I have never known a company take so blooming long. I was in two minds whether to pick them up but I had paid with paypal from selling unwanted things, they were half price and I got them in brown and orange so they could be passed on to DS after as they don't get overworn.
Today will be a spend day as we are going grocery shopping, boo to grocery shopping on Sunday but I have vouchers to use.Debt Free and now a saver, conscious consumer, low waste lifestyler

Must try harder with the paperwork.
Probably an NSD today and a gym day; yesterday was a good day for vintage finds and it was a wee bit social as well.

Good morning raindrops.
Today is the day that I always feel unfit and get the urge to do something worthwhile. It is London Marathon Day!!!!!!
So.... was working yesterday (extra shift) and Friday (normal shift) so both were spend-free days. So that is 8 in total now... hopefully nine by the end of today.
:j
Today is going to be a walking day (up at a beautiful local scenic walk)... not sure if it will be 3 or 8 miles, depends on my Daddy's choice as it is him, OH, me and the doggy.
Erm... not really done much else apart from catch a cold which is causing me sleeping problems (along with dreaming about work).
Hope everyone else is doing okay.

Morning all
Aiming for another SFD today. I took 25 items to the charity drop off bin thing yesterday so my decluttering total has shot up!
Lots to do, hopefully I won't forget to post until ten to midnight like I did last night...0 -
Sorry to hear you are still feeling poorly NSK. Hope you are feeling brighter today.
Operation garage has begun! I've started to sort out another cupboard in our room, which has another door into the eves (our bedroom is in the roof) and so I've put some camping gear in there and bagged up stuff for the charity shop and stuck a load of stuff on Chewinggumtree. The plan is to get as much stuff inside or sold and then the outsidey manly side will go in the shed I am saving up for, for DHs birthday.
Then we are going to convert the garage as we desperately need the living space!Squirrelling away in September No 33It's not about the money, it's about financial freedom, being in control of it and living in the natural world and not a material world0 -
Hi everyone hope your all having a nice weekend. Have lost track of SFDs as have been buying bits and pieces for my wee girls birthday this week. But my grocery budget has come right down as I'm trying to eat out of the cupboards and freezer. Have only been spending around £30 on fresh stuff a week so am pleased about that. Plus have managed to save £200 already this month bringing my savings to £500 :j
Have got everything for my daughters party and her present, and got all Easter eggs in so the rest of the month shouldn't be too bad spend wise so hopefully will be able to save even more. Am off for a night in a spa hotel at the start of May with my best friend (if u remember it's the one whose mum passed away a few weeks ago) so I would like to save a few pound to treat her while we are away and for petrol money etc. looking forward to it!
Also kids have brought home letters about trips £6.50 for one and £11 for the other plus £6 for after school soccer club so will have to fork that out this week! Will take it out of the bank in the morning along with £20 for bread and milk and any other spends this week. Have a good evening all xxNSK April power shower #370 -

Evening all,
I have had a very spendy day as I booked a holiday!!! Please feel free to tell me off NSK! But my justification is.. OH and I have only been on 2 holidays together in 7 years, we have only ever had one holiday alone together and that was 5 years ago and I have paid off my credit card this month, so I have put the holiday on the ccard and will pay it off on payday. I feel very guilty but on a personal level, I feel we need some time for us. Also (still trying to justify it!) I have taken up an offer of marking exam papers so after my tutees finish their sessions in May/June, I will have three weeks to mark loads of exam papers (as well as go to work). But it will bring in extra money
Hope you've all had a good day and everyone is feeling betterLBM = 07/09/13 Debt = £13339 (100% cleared)

SFD today and loads of housework done. Dishes, bathroom, kitchen, living room all sorted and I roasted a chicken so we have leftovers for dinner tomorrow.
I've pulled together a bag of clothes for the charity bundle and have chucked out a load of paint tins and tat from our junk cupboard. The house is looking better and I'm aiming for that 100 items target!!0 -
Hope you've all had a good weekend.
