  • 2/10 exercise - proper lycra exercise! Found Jillian Michaels on youtube so am doing her ripped in 30 program. Thankfully the flatmate has been out for the past two nights, not sure how he'd react to me jumping up and down in front of the tv...

1 item decluttered via ebay, will list some more stuff this weekend.

Not a SFD as bought a cookie from the uni cafe. Did take my own coffee with me though.

  • Evening folks!

Check in 1/15 for me, and 2 NSD in the bag already. Feeling very proud as have also had friends over both nights, but have stuck to our meal plan broadly and given them what we were planning to have anyway, rather than rush out for lots of ingredients.

Yesterday was pizza and fruit salad (and actually, guest bought the pizza with them) tonight was an eclectic pasta sauce with lots of leftover olives, leftover goats cheese, leftover salami for the carnivores! I think I got away with it, especially as folk know we are off on our hols at the weekend, so use it up mode is in full swing. We also had leftover wine :) and I cooked up the remaining veggies for some more pasta sauce whilst the oven was on. Fridge looking clearer now.

Managed to book in at friends house for night before and after our flights (different friends) thus extending our holiday quite cheaply. Currently trying to work out if their offers of lifts to and from the airport make it worth taking the car, or going up to their general area by train. Lots of sums but couldn't decide, hence preserving my NSD but need to sort this out tomorrow.

Also managed to book our house out whilst we are off, so recouping about 1/3 of our accom costs over there. This does however mean a lot more tidying is required during the next 50 hours! Flylady on Friday I think! :rotfl:

Tired today and leg aching (not pain just little aching) so only did food stack-take (no fruit, low on veg and tins) then DS2 phoned asking about SM run. Disappointing shop, not many bargains to be had, spent £23.11 (after deducting vouchers) got everything I needed. DS2 spent more than me so allowed him £5 of the £10 voucher (needed to spend over £50 between us) off the cost of his shop.

Tired and aching (was offered a different queue just as I was going to unload, DS2 moved the trolley and I turned too sharply) so decided on taxi home (original plan was for DS2 to carry large rucksack to bus station, then phone DS3 to meet me as I got off the bus and carry it home). Good timing on the taxi, DS3 got off the Manchester bus as the taxi driver got the (very heavy due to tinned goods) rucksack out of his boot - so got him to take it to the kitchen for me.

Unpacked, back upstairs with small snack to take pills (including painkillers to help relax my leg) and I may just have had a three hour nap. So counting that as day 1 on return to fitness - stretched myself without overdoing it and resting when necessary.

Aiming to start collecting things for the de-cluttering and get rid of as much as possible by in one day using bus ticket. Want to use up what is in the freezer and defrost properly as it wasn't done before Christmas, then re-stock.

Feeling good, relaxed, positivity returning - like a gentle April shower (will turn the power up, gradually).

    3. £0/£50 petrol allowance
    4. 2/11 LTW (two weeks holidays for Easter)
    5. 0/3 Lunches out (one with DH £0/30, one with DS1 after pictures £0/£10 and one with mum £0/20)
    6. £0/£20 days out to pictures (2 with DS1 during holidays)
    7. 0/0 takeaways, coffee shops etc
    8. £0/£3 local food bank
    9. £0/£10 beauty spends (getting hair cut and coloured but already paid for on Gpon)
    10. Continue decluttering house – DS1 bedroom this month
    11. Inventory freezers/cupboards etc and do menu plan using up as much as possible.
    12. Give the house a deep clean from top to bottom, including skirtings, windows etc during my Easter holidays to see us through until summer.
Well 2 sfd so far and today should be one too. Had a bit of luck in that I won some vouchers for a free meal at our local Macd's in a raffle so will use those to take DS1 for lunch in the Easter hols as we are going to the pictures and will link the two together, which is great as I had budgeted £10 for that.

Maisie, your post reminds me to sort out my cupboards and see what is in stock - I have lots of basics and just need to plan better.

I sold a pair of shoes yesterday, to a friend, so another 10 in my 'declutter cash' envelope.
I woke up on the middle if the night having a bit of a worry which has left me tired today. I'm feeling really rather anxious a lot of the time at the moment - I think it may be middle aged hormones!
I can just do what I can do and keep plodding on I suppose.

    Morning,

Yesterday was my first NSD so I am hoping today will be the second.
It's going to be a quiet day, bit of Pilates, some baking and some sleeping.

Morning all. Middle son has surprised me by saying I still haven't told him what I wanted for mothers day. I said just download me a song I wanted, he said no, he'll give me 30.00. I said that's too much, so he said just don't give me pocket money this week :) So that's 20.00 to me. So Daughters passport will cost me 1.75 :T Technically, I should buy myself something, but when in debt, the money pot is just that, a pot for me, so I have still got myself something in a way and I'm very grateful to him:A

I can't believe I'm feeling anxious about NOT being at work :o I think it's because it wasn't planned and I can't take planned days off in the easter hols with the little one now :( Oh well. And the eldest gets back from his lovefest/21st birthday trip with the girlfriend today, so I'm back to shouting for the music to be turned down soon :D On the plus side I have saved £50 in breakie club and afterschool this week. So, bearing in mind I have no excess this month, I'm feeling quite flush :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Plans for today, do some exercise, try to entertain the little, tidy up and be grateful for all the good things in my life, as much as I moan, there really are too many to mention :)

MissyV-how's your daughter doing? And hugs to those that need them.

Mountaingirl- A cupof Rooibus Tea, works wonders for anxiousness :)

Well good luck everyone and keep going :T
