Congratulations on the birth of GS3 Grannybroon! :T
(((hugs))) to Penpen and Mr Penpen.
(((hugs))) also to Kyle and family - hope you all dry out soon!
JackieO - (((hugs))) Thinking of you today. There are a couple of fantastic books out by Professor Jane Plant called "The Plant Programme" (ISBN 1 85227 047 0 - published by Virgin books) and "Your life in your hands"(ISBN 0 7535 0850 8 - published by Virgin publishing Ltd) This lady had breast cancer herself and has written the books explaining how she fought it. Basically a non dairy diet she devised meal plans and recipes (sounds familiar doesn't it?;)) using healthy foods based on her realisation that there were hardly any cases of this illness in Asia. I thought the books might be useful for your "armoury".
My day has been relatively quiet today, just a little bit of tidying in the garden. i am recovering from root canal treatment done yesterday for yet another abcess! In pain but hoping it will clear up soon. I am determined to improve our diet and have had more than 5 fruit and veg a day today (8 so far) and included garlic and onions as they are meant to have anti biotic powers.
Lovely to see Smokeybabe, Nelski and TM posting again.
Catz xOur days are happier when we give people a bit of our heart rather than a piece of our mind.

Evening everyone :hello:
I'm exhausted! I've just spent the day in my new school and I'm beginning to regret it..... getting and accepting the job, I mean...... Hmmm, it's going to be interesting. The head seems to be quite unobtainable - like she keeps her door firmly shut (remember that this is an infant school!). Luckily the deputy seems lovely and the main driving force in the school.
Oh, and the children were "lively". Then again, it's a little concerning when they're as quiet as mice, and I am going to be a Year 2 teacher.
DH had an interview today, and it all sounds quite promising. They're now trying to arrange a mutually agreeable time for a second interview :j :j
DH is going on a stag do this weekend. He's an usher at his friend's wedding in September, but they're having the stag do this weekend - no doubt so that the stag makes it back from Edinburgh in time. The coresponding hen do is the following weekend, which I'm invited to. Anyway, DH being on a stag weekend means that I can sleep in my favourite position - the starfish!
Aaaah! The whole bed to myself.
It also means that I'll be able to use up some of those individual portions of chilli etc that are in the freezer, especially as we're moving in a couple of weeks. Just up the road (from 58 to 102!), mind!
Supper tonight was a bacon, mushroom and tomato sauce with pasta. Very yummy and very quick!
Anyway, hopefully I'll also have plenty of time to post over the weekend whilst the "cat" (DH!) is away.
