Have managed to clean the bathroom and toilets, and ive swished the kitchen - still need to do the kitchen floor, but will do that after dinner.
Feeling very tierd today - im sure its this horrible weather - my head isnt hurting as such, but i can feel its there (does that make sense?) - so looking forward to everyone going home, dinner finished and then im off for a long bubble bath, and boy am i looking forward to it already!!!
((HUGS)) to all who need one
Have a lovely evening,
Take care xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx0 -

Afternoon all,
In fairness, I couldn't say good afternoon as it is bucketting rain, full line of clothes out, three loads draped around the house hoping that they will dry sometime...no heat on as we ran out of oil so I have ordered a fill this morning, delivery to-morrow...€585, but I can't be cold and need radiators to dry clothes! To make things worse the new washing machine is flying, I only seem to turn around and the wash is done...would be wonderful in a normal July.
Hugs to all in need, JackieO especially.
Roast lamb, with mint, roast veg, roast potatoes and onions...OH will have gravy, but not my thing.
Going to a cousin's 70th on Saturday afternoon, only down the road so can walk home if under the weather! OH refuses to go, says he has to take care of DD3's dog ( a lunatic!), we are having him for weekend as DD3 is going to a weekend concert....no weather for such an event but she is 27 so why would I interfere? Need to get a present for cousin and really don't know what to get him...probably a bottle of whiskey...so original.
Happy with my spend so far this month, but need to go to oriental foodstore for vinegar and bicarb as they are in large quantities and cheap. Will also stock up on other stuff I buy there more cheaply than supermarket....need someone with me to prevent me blowing the whole budget, will take DD4 if she is free, as she is ruthless!
Have make 2 lots of Twink's cookies now, second one with a twist suggested by DGS 1...cocoa powder instead of some of the flour and broken up chocolate sprinkled over as soon as they come from the oven...both are delicious and I'm sure something I should only eat once or twice a year!
Have a friend coming for Friday night, she was originally here for some time to learn English, has stayed and is now working down the country. She has been wonderful for keeping in touch, remembering birthdays etc but I heard nothing this year, contacted a mutual friend who said that she hasn't seen her in a while either but that she knows that she has something to tell me and that she has been putting it off, scared of my reaction. My mind is now thinking up everything and anything that I might not approve of that she may have got involved in, hopefully I am making a mountain out of a molehill, but am dreading her coming so just wish that it were Friday to get it over with...she calls me her Irish mother so I will have to be careful of what I say.
Hope that you all enjoy the rest of the day

Hi
JackieO- a big pile of hugs for you. I wish we could do more. Look after yourself.
Just nipped on here for 5 mins before I head down to do the ironing, and the dusting, and the clearing up generally that needs done. How come I get more housework done on a work day than I do on an at home day. No kids. That'll be it. Managing to sneak home an hour before they arrive makes life so much easier.
Mioliere - I'm gonna have to investigate one of those lightwedge things. Can you remember where you got it?
Twink - I am so tempted to try the hobnobs. But I'm on a diet! Maybe I can use them as my reward. If I lose 7lbs I can make hobnobs (and then I'll put the 7lbs back on!)

I don't post here very often, but I just wanted to send my thoughts to JackieO, one of the nicest people on this board. Huge Hugs to you. A close friend of mine was diagnosed in December 2003 and I have seen her go through her Operations, the chemotherapy, the radiotherapy, her reconstruction, and come through with the biggest smile and the hugest amount of courage. She is my inspiration and I am sure you will be the same.
Take care JackieO, to you and your loved ones.Only 5% of those who can give blood, actually do!

Jackie, you have been in my thoughts all day.
There is a huge batch of breakfast cereal baking in the oven now and some pumpkin and sunflower seeds in honey, curry powder and oil in the oven too so fingers crossed they'll turn out okay.
Faffed around burning the skin off some peppers for tonight's dinner, made up the salad and couscous then remembered I'm going out for a meal tonight to celebrate my friend's degree result. (She got a first.) So I ate a little bit of it and stuck the rest in the fridge.:A It's tweeting at me though.:D
The baby cut another tooth the day after he cut his first one so he has his 2 bottom teeth now. My dad was given the wrong drugs for his angina and was taking them for 2 weeks before the chemist noticed and he stopped taking them. He's feeling a bit ropey today but hopefully he'll be back to normal soon. I like my counsellor so I'm looking forward to shaking off the PND.
We've had a drive out to a part of town we have decided we'd like to move to again today. I love it and fingers crossed we might manage to find a decent sized garden to let the lads play AND get a veg patch going. :j Not done much else. The laundry is still sitting wet in the machine from last night. Trying to muster up the energy to hang it out. I could fall asleep sitting right here!May all your dots fall silently to the ground.0 -
Hello all
JackieO: ((big hugs)) to you. Stay strong, you're an amazing woman.
TM - hugs to you too. No houses round here seem to be selling at the mo
Been spending today , but only on bargains you'll be pelased to hear! OH won some M&S vouchers at work, so I got a vase & a pair of lamps for the bedroom (newly decorated), and a smart-ish pair of cream linen trousers for me (not that I'm ever going to get to wear them in this weather!). Total cost to me - nil.
OH is desperate for some new work shoes as he's worn through the sole on his others, so a quick trip to the Clarks outlet unearthed a pair for £20, reduced from £50. Bargain!
Shepherd pie tonight - inspired by last night's F word (and the ton of potatoes that need using up).
Hope you're all OK, will pay more attention tomorrow as I'm working from home.0
