Hi all
Actually I have now run out of steam. We have done tea. About to send photos to DS.
He is the most gorgeous wee thing and every time we spoke to him we not only got a smile - we got a grin! No, this wind thing does not wash with me that they hogwashed me with 28 years ago. He knew our voices and there was such a response when we spoke to him. When his Daddy came down from upstairs and spoke to me, he turned his head to look at him!!!!!! Other DGSs are fantastic too but I am sure will have their moments. I said to DD today - send them over as soon as you feel it is the right time. I said to boys this afternoon, Well, GB and GDB going to take baby home for a sleepover. DGS1 cried - a wee joke that maybe misfired!
He is dark haired (DGS2 so so blonde!), was born 30 minutes after arrival in hospital (very much like DGS1), smaller than we would have thought with only a few days to go (6 lb 12 ozs). Beautiful fine features and bit hairy on the body so hospital now thinking they might have got dates wrong!!! He is just so wee but so beautiful. He has really long fingers (and his feet are huge). Yes, I checked out the tackle when doing the nappy. Everything present and correct!
DD looked very pale when we left this afternoon (was home within 7 hours of birth). DSIL just about sleeping on settee too. However, when you breast feed you have to be up for it! Did two nappy changes and he had a siccie -I am christened. I shouldn't have worn the black cardi and should I have remembered about the the shoulder protection with the muslim square!!!!!!!!!
He actually seems to be doing 3-4 hours between feeds but will no doubt go through the grazing process! I remembered to have the dirty nappy still positioned until I had got him cleaned up - these boys do have aiming power!!!. DGS2 still in nappies and a great assistance but when I said your turn next - went AWOL for half an hour - saying no, no Granny only pee pees!
I know there are some of you here today that must be having huges problems. I did read through yesterday. Please remember I think of you all always and take care.
Congratulations to anyone doing well.
Well, so glad Alan Johnston released today. I do fear for poor wee Maddie.
Friends now on way home from France from hoiday because his Mum in hospice and not likely to see the end of the month. A wee downer I think!
Bear with me!!!!!!!

hi thriftlady and any one else neeeding to know about army cadets,
my dd age 14 is a cadet for the last year and really enjoys it.
For her it cost £30 subs a year, lots of weekend away aprox £10 each weekend
and summer camp for 10 to 12 days is £45 .
They povided uniform and we buy the boots which cost £30+ but do last as they have to polish them each week.
She goes 2 evenings a week 7-9.30 ish and very often has events to do, 11 november etc
Rules and regulation are strick with a little leaway because of age.And bulling would not happen if did delt with promply!
She all so has been chosen to more training for shooting ,she been told if she carry on as she has been ,she could shoot for devon.
Most if they show a intrest in something the army will incourage that.Loving Life,Family,Work
and my greats love is the Grandchildren xx0 -
Thank you so much for the pm's, the mentions etc. This has been a fantastic day for me, having to wait 25 hours to meet my wee darling! So so worth it.
However, as you can see I have had the down side today - this is life and we must go with it! What do they say - for every birth there is a death and unfortunately I think there is one looming soon in our lifes. But we must celebrate. I am still crying about the wonder of it all. He is just so beautiful (as were my other two darlings). I think this is a kick back to being adopted and being so emotional when my kids were born being 'mine' and this is now another generation and the three of them I feel there is continuation!
