Morning everyone,
Just wanted to send a big hug to JackieO :grouphug: Stay positive.
Thanks to everyone who nominated me for post of the month :T I've never won anything before
Have a good day all.0 -
Morning all
JackieO - big hugs to you my thoughts are with you right now.
Ive got a full days work to do today so wont be having time for the ironing today so the pile will just keep getting bigger:eek: I do hope that the rain clears up by the weekend as we are off on holiday and you cant do much if its raining. Theres so many people off on holiday and if like me they only have 1 holiday a year, and have had to save like mad it will be a shame if its a washout. The main thing though is that i will be getting away from it all for a week and that has to be good:D
Im so pleased that Alan Johnstone has been freed. What a relief for him and his family it must have been awful for all of them.
Anyone watch the F word last night? Fried brains, sweetbread and tripe...YUCK...all gordon ramseys kids ate it and loved it. My dog is fed on tripe and if you see it in its horrible smelly green state before it has been bleached, its enough to put you off for life..(no offence to all the tripe lovers out there) Are there any tripe lovers out there?
Ah well must get on and feed the animals and get myself to work.
Havn't got a clue what we are having for dinner:rolleyes: It will be something from the freezer though as im trying to eat everything from there before i do a freezer stock up when i get home from holiday.
Hope you all have a good day and lets hope the sun shines all day:D

Morning everyone!
Pam and Mioliere sorry to hear you had a bad night xx. <Aime>Sorry to hear about the funeral
Thriftlady: congratulations on "Post of the Month". Your post certainly deserves it.
<<<<<JackieO>>>>>> I don't know what to say, so I'll say what I;m thinking. I'm so sorry to hear your news. My friend went through this a few years ago, and her attitude was very much like yours. She was so positive throughout, she wasn't going to let it beat her. She is an amazing person, like you, and she's still here and going strong.
Well, it's sunny and windy today. We aren't supposed to be here, we had tickes for the Royal Show at Stoneleigh, and today was our day. Unfortunately, the show was closed a day early. Never mind, we'll get a refund and there's always next year.
The fenceman cleared all the shrubs etc and took down the old fencing yesterday. This was mostly chainlink, but also inclided a bedstead, a gate, and other interesting items. With nothing to stop it, all the carp from next door blew into our driveway. They often miss the bin when they chuck stuff in there, and then they just leave it on their drive. Most of it blows into our joint hedge (which is staying, and runs along the first 10 feet of drive), so their side is very colourful with crisp packets and sweetie packets. Often this works its way over to our side, and I have to keep fishing it out.
Today I picked up lemonade bottles, plastic trays from food, a tea bag boxes, some polystyrene.... I was very tempted to just lob it back into her driveway but realised I was just being childish.
Anyway. The fence debris is piled high in the garden, there is so much of it. He's going to be taking it all away today, and taking out the old (too short) concrete posts. He reckons it'll take him a week to complete the job.
Not sure what we're going to do today. Not planning to do any housework.
Have a great day everyonexxx0 -
Bore Da,
First ever Tesco delivery didn't come yesterday= waited all morning to find that OM had not completed paying for the order ... he does credit card payments because I have huge problems keying in number strings and so can't spend much money on line!!! Really put a spoke into carefully planned meals etc ...
It's damp here but managed to get some shirts dry yesterday, so that's something. Stardropped the kitchen too.
Am getting stuck into my Hillbilly Housewife pinny - pink and flowery! Think I shall create the whole 'Queen of the Home' look around it and test out the theory.
Jackie O, still praying for you- don't look down.I can cook and sew, make flowers grow.0 -

I watched it ... but rather than noting the tripe ... I noted .... Johnny Vegas is an Old Styler :rotfl: ... he made his pizza base using a bread machine :T :T :T
I've just spent an interesting half hour on the Tesco Website looking at their downloadable/printable menu plans for inspiration, here's the link for anyone who may be interested, or maybe find it useful if you're in a menu planning rut.

Tip: Choice the "recipe" option so that the meal plan doesn't throw up ready mealsIt only shows one week's worth, but that's better than nothing and there are several combinations of criteria.

(((hugs))) to Amie for the funeral today! Hope you sort the situation soon re DD.
dogrose - enjoy Florida, my brother will be leaving on the 17th July to start his new life out there. His wife has allready gone.
moiliere - despite my bedroom smelling of lavender, Ive started to read again before lights out. This helps to relax me more. I am sleeping a little better than before.
Jackie O - (((((((SPECIAL HUGS))))))) FOR YOU!
Dlb - Im sure DS will be fine with his school visit today. Im glad my DS has help to calm him a little.
Essex girl - the kareoke party sounds fun!
Grannybroon - has DD had the baby yet?
Aussielass - hope DGS feels better soon!
Chipps - yuk maggots - hope you manage to clear it up, I would be heaving at the site of them!
Our ceremony for Fil went ok. Was interrupted by next door's dog barking. I read a few prayers, tried to light candles despite the wind blowing them out, and played You'll never walk alone. Apparently, the funeral itself went very well and lots turned out. Im still upset that I wasn't allowed to go, but I know in time, I'll get over it.
Think I'll do Twink's hobnobs at the weekend. Cant do them at present, as I dont have enough ingredients, living to the minimum this week on groceries.
DS visit went well yesterday as his new school, he really enjoyed it. Ive got parents evening there later at 6pm.
Ive still got the tapping sound in my car, my mechanic looked yesterday and he thinks its the alarm system! He'll do that for me 1 day next week. Its nothing major to be overally concerned about!
Fish n oven chips for dinner later. Still got lots of washing to sort through.
I listed more things on ebay last night, I have 50 in total listed!
Just waiting for a nice wk end, where OH can do a car boot.
My manager goes on holiday today for 2wks, so things should be pretty relaxed at work.
Right, best get ready for work
Have a great day
Love Emma xxx

Oooooooh just won some curtains for upstairs on ebay. Nearly got pipped at the post but I held on until the end.
Downside - tea will be a wee bit late.
Crazychik The ceremony sounded lovely. I'm glad that your not lowering yourself to their petty level & can hold your head high with your attitude. Well done.
Lux Don't forget to post a picture of your finished pinny. We're all (well the others really)are a mob of sticky beaks here.
I really MUST go in the kitchen now.Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia.0 -
Morning everyone
(((hugs))) JackieO + everyone else. Amie I think your presense is required at the school, they can ignore a phone easier than a body!!
Thank goodness my Thanks button working today, is it me or is the site slower than slow today?
Had a fairly successful day yesterday, DH did the bathroom, and other bits, peeled and cooked vegies for dinner, I blitzed one wardrobe in the start of a declutter, 5 work suits + others items out! Cleared the ironing (that might not be bad for you lot, but for me after 20+ years of not ironing was quite an achievement) do not intend to let it pile up so see how I go! Did some more scanning/filing of paperwork and budgetting. Saw Financial Adviser and made some decisions there. Made chuck steak in port in the SC, good and enough for today, watched some tennis when it was not raining there.
This morning DH is cleaning the 'van ready for the weekend, and I'm going to get started on the paperwork again, once I've done this Suduko!!:o
Getting into the retired style I think. :T
Take care
