    Hugs :grouphug: to JackieO

Well, no rain - yet, but that nice weatherlady says we will be getting some later :(

Dogrose, have a great holiday, if this is your first time, enjoy and start saving when you get back as you will probably want to go again :D The dollar hit 2.01 yesterday, so you will be getting lots for your money.

Off to work today, so cheating with a readymade meal for tea, but I did make homemade gooseberry crumble last night with some gooseberries off our allotment. All this free food is fantastic :j

Hope everyone has a good day x

    Good morning.

Special thoughts to Jackie O, stay positive x

Hugs to for all of those who need, either for themselves or thier offspring x

Happy 4th July to anyone on here from across the pond!

Good news about the release of Alan Johnstone today. Got quite emotional when I saw it on the news!

Today involves more of the tumble drier unfortunately - when will the weather ease up! A Mystery shop will provide me with a cooked breakfast and I am cooking Tartiflette for dinner, with some cheese that I had frozen after a trip to France.

The children are off to see Shrek after school on the marvellous Orange Wednesdays and DS has a basketball tournament to take part in - at least it is an indoor sport!

Kyle, hope your feet are a little better today.

    Good morning everyone,

Bright sunny day here today. :D I love winter. Finished cleaning all the windows & screens today. Ironed & caught up with a few book keeping jobs. I also made piadine's for lunch. They turned out good, well the second one did. The first stuck. I also made some HM granola last night. It was really nice. Different one than GR's with less sweetners.

I got in touch with XDIL last night, I had enough of sleepless nights. DGS has a cold atm, but once he's better she is bringing him down for a visit. So I suppose we will just have to see if she sticks to that promise. She said she would have rung but she didn't know we were back. Yeah, and pig's might fly.

Taplady So happy to hear DS1 has the job. Well done him. :T
MrsMix Hope no other complications with DS2's foot.
Dogrose Proud mummy award goes to you. :D & Bon Voyage
JackieO Sending lots of positive vibes.

Well better get in the kitchen and start preparing tea. Hope you all have a lovely day. Byeeeeeeeeeeee
Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia. ;)

:hello: Goooood Morning fellow OS'ers :D

Right, got a minute to make a proper reply.

This morning, d13yo has his US '50's diner style coffee morning (contradiction in terms methinks, but, hey-ho) his Dad is coming over so we can go together. After, dh is going to replace some electric sockets. While he's doing that, I'm going to be cutting old t-shirts into strips and rolling them up into balls - these will be turned into a rug for the utility room, eventually.

I've also got to update and amend the lads chore charts. Things have been slipping lately and their attitude has waned - must be hormones - so we're going back to basics and knuckling down :naughty: They don't have *that* much to do - I'm not a slave driver - but what they do have, isn't getting done. I'll be adding the phone number of Childline to their lists ;)

The weather is really affecting the washing now; it's one thing to dry indoors during the winter when the heating is on, but it's quite another this time of year!

((hugs)) to those who need/want them. Have a moneysaving Wednesday :D

    Good morning all!

    ((((JackieO))))

Well, despite lots of rain overnight it is sunny this morning so the washing is all out - not sure for how long. Each day it has gone out & I have had to rush out and get it all in during a downpour!

Ok - are you ready for a really gross yucky story? Anyone of a sensitive disposition, or who is eating, please look away now.
I have just put some rubbish into our black (non-recyclables) wheelie bin. It is not due to be collected til next week. We have very little of that sort of rubbish, so it is about half full.... BUT it was due to be collected last week, when I was away and DH was in charge of putting it out. (maybe you can guess where this story is going) A couple of days before the collection day last week, 2 of our goldfish had died, so DH put them in the bin in the knowledge that it would be collected shortly.
Anyway - I then went to stay in Portsmouth to babysit for DD and guess who overslept and dashed out to work having forgotten to put out the bin:mad:
So just now, as I went to put out some rubbish I have found the bin crawling with maggots:eek:
It doesn't help that DD & DGDs (2 lots of nappies) and DGN (darling great nephew -8mo so more nappies) were here at the weekend. That bin is RIPE:eek:  And doesn't get collected til next week when we are on holiday! I hope my mum doesn't forget to put it out.... mind you, every time she comes to the front door to feed the cat it will probably announce its presence to her:eek:

Have a good - and fragrant - day!
