Morning all
JackieO - Sorry to hear your news but really pleased you got everything checked and it's all being sorted - You know where we all are if you want a rant. Chin up.
Hugs to the rest in need.
Sun is sort of shining here - clouds are quickly gathering tho. I've been through and given the bedrooms a quick tidy, beds are aired and remade, floors don't need doing in there today. Going to attack the kitchen this morning - pull the fridge/freezer/tumble drier/saucepan racks out and have a damn good clean. Going to make a start on the cupboards and draws too - they all need a wipe over.
Booked to go and see the new Harry Potter film next Friday - used it as a bribe last night - if you don't wash and wipe up - I won't take you!!!Works everytime.
Must crack on, hope you all have a great day."Start every day off with a smile and get it over with" - W. C. Field.0 -

((((JackieO)))), all I can say is keep positive (but vent if you need to). A friend of mine went through similar a couple of years ago, and to be honest, the worst bit for her was the waiting for the diagnosis!
PK had us up in the middle of the night again. Still trying to comfort suckle in the middle of the night. Just when I'm going back to sleep I get a little nuzzle against my chin. LovelyHe's just been having a major PsychoKitty moment, going nuts all around the room, just when OH is trying to have a conference call
Echo-cat is feeling put-upon. She's just been chased into the house by her brother, straight into PK, and her Mum has just chased her upstairs!
Thunder, lightening, downpours and hail loads yesterday - lost power three times, luckily for short times so did domestic things yesterday. Used nice clean kitchen to prepare lunch for OH to take to work today, packed it all up, then remembered he's working at home! Also managed to cook too much spicy shepherds pie for last night - so we have another one for today. That's what I like - no need to cook today:)
Last night, I went to look around house that's being sold by auction (just to be a bit nosy as I probably have to sell my Dads like this. The house belongs to a 90yr old who'se just had to go into a care home and the family needs to pay the bills. The house was really sweet, with loads (I Mean LOADS) of work that needed doing to it. New everything really, and probably knock through walls. Very strange extensions have happened over the years, resulting in very low ceilings between rooms (like at shoulder height !!!!)
It has a lovely garden which has been kept better than the house, overlooking fields. The agents are really trying to push the fact that you'd probably get planning to build another house in the garden. I found that very very sad. One day we'll have no green space left in this world. Anyone know how we can stand up against this garden-grabbing?
Was also surprised to see my next door neighbour going round the house! i think he thought I was stalking him! :rotfl: Well if he's thinking of selling his house I hope he's going to fix his garden first - it's a big mess (bindweed escaping everywhere) and its the only garden I can see out of my upstairs windows. My other neighbour has a great view of cottage hedges, roofs and gardens - I'm so jealous!
Gone on long enough - have a good day folks.0 -
Morning all,
JackieO - you are in my prayers
Hugs to everyone else who needs it - had a few issues there with the school myself 2 weeks ago.
We're off on holiday tomorrow so everyone is wearing a motley selection of clothes and I try to wash and Dry:rolleyes: everything. Like someone else said - it looks really hopeful here for an hour and then a down pour. Ds1 and I are wearing cords - a bit warm for June! and ds2 is wearing a pair of school trousers with a T shirt.
Made some onion relish yesterday and the house still reeks of vinegar so I need to get it aired. Trying to eat up stuff in the fridge before we go, but as we're going to my Mum's I'll take any leftover eggs etc with me.
Need to go to the B/Soc to move money and pay the credit card before we go - the boat's not till 5.30 tomorrow so we do have most of tomorrow as well. Dh is going straight to a conference in the States from England, so he will have to take a separate case packed ready for that as well with us.
Oh well on with the washing........Probably won't be around much for the next 10 days - see you all when we get back“the princess jumped from the tower & she learned that she could fly all along. she never needed those wings.”

Thanks, although I do know how to avoid the problem normally....
... don't put dead things in the bin and then forget to put the bin out for collection!
I have got some spray for de-fleaing the house so may spray that in there & see if that helps!0 -
Morning all!
Special hugs to JackieO first of all...
Anyway, after nursing DH through a nasty cold over the weekend I have now caught it and am off work:rolleyes: Sat on the sofa watching Cbeebies and the tennis - that Lazytown is really good:rotfl:DH said the fatal words at the weekend - "but you never get sick" so no wonder I've caught the bug! Must count my blessings because it's my first day off sick in years.
So not much planned here today, I'm afraid! Have a good day all,

vastsarah quite a few of us seem to be having school problems i think that the kids are all bored in the run down to the summer and also the weather has not helped
DS is still not happy and has only gone back to school as i have said he can come on DD1 eve out in a limo to southend and a few hours in Adventure Island DD1 is also coming as we have been left with 4 spare places and i cant afford to let it go without trying to fill it as i paid in full and some people said they would go but then decided not too  never mind only 2 to fill now

just popped in to say am in the middle of baking off a huge batch of Twink's hobnobs and they are absolutely yummy! it will be a real struggle not to scoff the lot! they look set to be as legendary as the weetabix cake and weetabix brownies!
thanks Twink:TDo what you love :happyhear0 -
Well hello everyone, its been months since I've been on here and I think it's time I got back into the habit of being a regular OSer - so hello to everyone and hugs to all the people who need them.
Payday on Tuesday so the rest of the week is inventive time LOL I am determined not to spend the 20 quid note (that I had to borrow!) that is sitting in my purse. Food for me is covered - cheese and lime pickle sarnie anyone? - but food for nipper proves more difficult. But I think I'm covered.
Struggling with the blues right now - the TN medication feels like its slowly but surely killing me - so the house is a tip - my kitchen is shocking and that's making me more down. So I am hoping coming and talking to you guys will motivate me to just move my buttoffski and start doing something.
Have a great day whatever you're doing and sending strength to those who need it xxxComps £2016 in 2016 - 1 wins = £530 26.2%
