Can anyone confirm this? I have a shedload of points from October which are yet to appear. Will make a big difference to my gym costs.
Do you still have the sheet of paper from the gym? Perhaps you could fax it? That is what I always do;)

Me too QQuaver. Its best to ask for a copy/photcopy and either scan and email or fax or post the pruhealth fitness result sheet yourself just to make sure Pru will 100% receive it.

Pruhealth do tend to recalculate your points, vitality status and premium around 10 days after your renewal date. As it sometimes takes a few days for paperwork to filter through to where it should be. Yes Stu they go by the date on the paperwork rather than when they have received it. I'd check after 3-4 days that Pru have received it. If not get a copy via your file at the gym and resend it via fax (try and use the gym fax or watch them do it).

Can your status change mid month? I missed making it to silver by the end of my first month, but if I can make it to silver 10 days into my second month, can I then sign up to the gym immediately for the cheaper price?
Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam
  • For those of you who have or need one or more of:

    Life insurance
    Critical Illness Cover
    Accident Cover
    Income Protection
    Unemployment cover

Pruprotect may save you more money, as well as or in some cases instead of Pruhealth.

For those of you who are platinum and have/need one of the above insurances you can shrink your monthly premium by 2.25% (compounded) each year by keep getting to platinum (something that your probably already doing). You also get enhanced vitality discounts for both (not gym though).

    Yes.

As soon as it says on their website that you are Silver, then you are Silver mid month or not. Yes you can then sign up for the cheaper gym (via the Pruhealth website is probably best).
  • Hi

looks like I maybe going with pruprotect but the wanted triple checking it even though I have told her that according to PMISpecialist, a "fitness assessment" is free, she wants it confirming by other like minded individuals.

We will hopfully if she likes it - joing canons in Byfleet, when we are at silver status and getting a free fitness assessment will help to get there within a few weeks if we follow PMISpecialist guide.

    Thanks

The Fitness Assessment is free, I have had them done at both Virgin and LA Fitness. However, a lot of the gym staff are not fully up to date about this. If you have any problems ask to speak with the Manager and if that doesn't work get PruHealth to book the appointment for you.

When you have your Fitness Assessment, get them to add in your Body Fat % (for some strange reason LA Fitness measure it but there is nowhere on the form for it). Ask the gym for a copy of the form and you can fax it to PruHealth yourself.

Ah, that's interesting. I don't think the body fat measurement is OFFICIALLY part of the fitness assessment process (it's not on the form, as you say, nor on the guidelines they go through when they carry out the assessment). I get mine done at Cannons and they never measure body fat... (I assumed I'd have to have screenings to get that done).

I've had a fitness assessment (Cannons) and a basic screen (Road to Health), body fat wasn't measured in either.

If the points for my screen ever appear and they do count them as being in October we will have made platinum in less than a month! :j
  • Thanks all - that will please the wife.

I want to get to silver before I sign up at canons - byfleet (StuHolmes - I believe you are a member, I sent you a PM on thoughts of the place).

Now - screening. Whats the cost of this. I am looking at getting done, once I sign up a Cholesterol test and possibly a full or basic health screen. Are these free or subsidised?
