Pruhealth gym loophole Article Discussion

Hi,
I wonder if anyone can quickly answer my question. My wife and I are both using Pruhealth at the moment, I am in my second year and am at Platinum, my wife is coming up to her renewal and is already at platinum.
We have not made the 26 visits yet for this quarter, will this matter, as our quarter ends on october 31st and the new billing starts on the 1st November. So in theory the number of visits this quarter is irrelevent? Is that the case?
Cheers,

Hello..my first post.
I'm seeking some advice about potentially signing-up to Pruhealth and continuing to use my local (outside M25) Cannons.
My current membership expires on Dec 31 and is about £47pcm, I'm in my mid-40s and quite fit, ns, without any chronic conditions. I have no intention whatsoever of claiming anything from Pru as my partner works in Harley Street and has excellent connections. I can get my fitness assessed at any time due the the v nice Cannons PT staff.
My question is can anyone suggest when I should think about signing up to the Pru so I can continue my membership on Jan 1st on Gold at least, and also is there any cashback deals going besides the TopCashback site one?
Thanks for reading,
MV
It entirely depends on your quotation from PruHealth. Can't really compare you to my premium because of your age, which was £27.11 a month in year one as a 28 year old male fit N/S. In year 2, my premium is £2.46 per month since I reached platinum in year 1 (100% no claims bonus, but slight increase in premium). From 1st November, gym cost is based on vitality status and once you get to platinum it will drop to £0 a month outside M25. In year one your total might cost a little more than existing cannons membership, but accelerate your vitality points to get it cheaper ASAP. In year two, its a absolute bargain if you are platinum (in my case £29.52 for whole year's insurance, plus £8 / month inside m25 cannons).
Finally, quidco give £85 cashback, which is less than the £115 they offered when I signed up.Cider Country Solar PV generator: 3.7kWp Enfinity system on unshaded SE (-36deg azimuth) & 45deg roof0 -

Yep should be irrelevant, as from Nov 1st your gym cost is dependent on your last year's vitality status, or your current status if it is higher than last year.Cider Country Solar PV generator: 3.7kWp Enfinity system on unshaded SE (-36deg azimuth) & 45deg roof0 -
hello!
have a couple of questions that im hoping someone might be able to answer!
- i did a gym assessment (300 points) on saturday and need the points added on before nov 1st - if they dont get added on until after that, do you think pruhealth will still count them in oct as it took place before nov 1st? (if that makes sense!!)
- also, does anyone know if you can get a £10 eurostar ticket for your partner too, or would they have to pay full price? and what about champneys?
thanks all!!

Hi MV,
Join ASAP or say on 1st Nov your Insurance premiums will be around £45 which is nearly what your paying now in gym fees.
Because your 40+ you can get to gold by Jan 1st very quickly like this:
50 Register
100 Flu Jab (Cost £??)
150 Glaucoma Test
150 Glucose Test
150 Pap Smear
150 Non Smoker
50 Healthy meal online
300 Fitness Assesment
100 Vitality Review
50 Stress Test
60 Online articles
300 for 30 gym visits in 2 months
200 Health screening (cost £25)
1810 Total Points = Gold (you only need 1500 for gold)
You should be platinum by February
If you want the full table email me marcnicol@pch.uk.com and i'll email it back to you.
I can do 30% of your annual premium -5% IPT (tax) cashback for you so if you take £45 as an estimate of your premium: 45 x 12 = £540 - 5% = £513 -70% = £153.90 as your cashback (payable 4-5 weeks after Pruhealth join date) if you want.0 -
Thanks for your replies Sly and PMISpecialist (I have emailed you).0

Has anyone booked a eurostar for two pruhealth members to travel at the same time? My wife and I are both individual platinum members, so should be able to get £10 tickets each. As the booking process involves a wierd process whereby you have to login to pruhealth to pay for a quote obtained over the phone, we're unsure how it will work for two booking together.
Their booking line is only open 9am-5pm: 0845 7660421 (or 01777 777878 according to saynoto0870). If no one knows the answer, I'll post it tomorrow when I'm able to ask them.Cider Country Solar PV generator: 3.7kWp Enfinity system on unshaded SE (-36deg azimuth) & 45deg roof0 -

I have recently booked for myself (Platinum level) and OH (non member). The Eurostar staff on the phone line were very helpful about making sure that we had seats together. Just make sure that you have both your PruHealth ID numbers, Eurostar will then be able to verify that you should both only pay £10.0
