I hope not! Only joined 2 wks ago!
Further to my last post; I decided to go for it with Vitalitymed, does anyone know if I will retrospectively get points for the screening I have already had done?
1420 points in 3 wks, only need 80 more to get to silver!
I asked on behalf of my wife and unfortunately they said no you have to have be registered with 'vitality med' first in order to get all the extra points. So you could try asking them. Let me know if they let you?
Well done by the way on the points front i don't think i've ever heard of anyone scoring so many points so quickly! :T You must have really crammed a lot in!0 -
argh!!! so annoyed! all that hard work to get to platinum and my gym's closing down. the nearest one is a virgin so an extra £8 per month
Are you 100% sure its closing down? Nuffield have just bought the Cannon gym chain, so maybe they are refurbishing?
Nuffield are carrying on with the Pruhealth deal by the way. :j0 -

No it's an LA Fitness in Leeds City Centre and the building its in (Leeds Shopping Plaza) is being knocked down and reconstructed as part of the Trinity Leeds development.
They've just put posters up around the gym that they've been given no option to relocate and they physically can't at such short notice (they have to be out before Dec 7th)
All members are having memberships canceled automatically and Yeadon is the nearest one, which is about 10 miles away0 -
I'm sure the answer's already here somewhere, but I'm too lazy to trawl through all these posts!
I've just found out that I'm going to be 10 points off platinum for my renewal, which is particularly frustrating. It seems that the only way I can push this over (maxxed out my gym visits and article reading) is to get a flu jab. So, can someone that's claimed the points from a flu jab help me out?
Can anyone get a flu jab?
What's the procedure for notifying Pru Health of the Flu jab?
How long does it take for the 100 points to track?
Do I have to go to my registered GP, or can I go to a pharmacy?
My renewal is on the 14th, so it all needs to be tracked before then. Can't believe I'm just 10 points away and stuck!
Thanks in advance.0 -

I fairly certain you can can have the jab done anywhere. You then need to enter the detail on the website; "screening confirmation" under "my points plan" tab. I think mine took about a week to register.0 -
There was advice about flu jabs in this weeks email, you can pay to have them done at your doctors if you're not eligible for a free jab. Alternativley some supermarkets and chemists seem to be offering them for around £10.
Also has anyone added a partner to their policy part way through. I've had my policy for 15months and have gold status. My boyfriend wants to join with me but
a. do we have to live at the same address to qualify?
b. will it change my status or reset my points?0 -

Have you had your fitness tests at the gym yet (you get 300 points, and they only take a few minutes to do).
If you are female (not sure if you are), you can get points for a smear test.
or you can buy fruit and veg at sainsburys and get points for that (make sure you register your nectar card on the pruhealth website first). Not sure how many points you get from Sainsburys - it isn't much, but if you only need 10 points then you might be ok.0 -
Had a call from Pru today, they said that If I sign up to Virgin they'll waive the £25 activation fee but I still have to pay £8 per month on joining Virgin Active on platinum0

hey guys,
i have a few questions about signing up. i ws hoping you could help with! i would be supergrateful
- If I sign up I basically want to power it to silver status in the first month and join the gym in the second month (as at the bronze level the gym is hugely expensive). I'm reckoning it's possible but what does it mean by 'fitness assessments' (worth 300pts) or 'health checks' (200/400pts)? Do you need to pay for these? Where do you go for them - you evidently don't need to be a gym member?
- With the gym membership, how is each months' cost calculated - according to your vitality level at the end of the preceding month, or at the end of that particular month?
-And finally, this one is probably one to ask to Virgin directly but was going to see if anyone knew the answerIf you move, can you move gym membership from one standard gym to another? If not, can you upgrade from standard single club to multiclub? also - how easy is it for guests to visit the gym with you - do Virgin provide a certain number of free passes/month (as other gyms)?
cheers so much if you can help0 -

Fitness assessments are free at any partner gym.
Health assessments are £25 for a basic "Road to health" one (mine was @ a pharmacy), up to £375 for a full Nuffield screen (altough these get alot cheaper when @ platinum)
Gym cost will be based on status at end of beginning of month I think, paid in arrears.
Don't know about moving or guests.
We've got to 1727pts (joint) which is silver in just over 3 weeks :j , actually done enough to get to gold but still waiting for 750pts to appear!0
