    1) has anyone used PMISpecialist before? and was everything done smoothly?

Just wanted to say I have used Marc (PMISpecialist) and I can honestly say he was very helpful in explaining it all, as it seemed like a total minefield to me at the start, especially with all the changes Pru made just after I joined! He gave me a breakdown of how to get to platinum status as quickly as possible. Plus, he sent me my cashback really quickly too so, in effect I got my gym joining fee (Canons £25), first month gym cost (£25) and first month insurance premium (approx £27) for free:j
Hope that is some help to people :)
(btw I didn't know Marc before I joined Pru incase anyone was wondering!)

Oh my word, I'm so confused.

Can anyone clarify this scheme for me.

I have done an online quote at pruhealth, the monthly quote was £37. My gym (virgin sheffield) is £42.95 for a twelve month contract.

Is it really worth me taking out the pru health insurance? How long is it before I start to save, and how much work would it take to save, because my budget is quite time and I wouldn't really be able to afford to pay both the full premium and the full gym cost. I would intend to use the gym 2-3 times a week.

Someone please help, because to be honest I'm getting to the point where I am thinking "oh blow it" and just signing on the dotted line at virgin.

Pruhealth Saves you a little bit early on (plus you get the insurance included and the other offers too). It will definately save you alot of money long term though! Below is a rough guide of what to do/expect.

For example if you joined now ish and joined the gym on say 1st November.

    You start on Bronze

    50 Points Register
30 points reading self help articles
    150 points Non smoker declaration
    300 Fitness assessment
    100 points Vitality review
50 points Stress test on line
    150 points pap smear

50 Healthy meal plan on line
150 points for 15 gym visits

120 points (buy three sporting goods over £5 each from ebay make sure Pru have linked your membership number with ebay).

(total points now 1000 = Silver)

November 1st - Join gym once Silver

    Month 2 add 180 points (15 gym work outs + 3 articles 1180
    Month 3 add 180
    points (15 gym work outs + 3 articles 1360
    Month 4 add 180
    points (15 gym work outs + 3 articles 1540 = GOLD
    Month 5 add 180
    points (15 gym work outs + 3 articles 1720
    Month
    6 add 480 points (13 gym work outs + 3 articles + fitness assesment = 2000 = Platinum

    14 £42.95 £17.50? +30.95 +66.90
    15 £42.95 £17.50? +30.95 +97.85
    16 £42.95 £17.50? +30.95 +128.80
    17 £42.95 £17.50 +30.95 +159.75
From then on should be the same as months 17 Keep adding + 30.95 =

Also you have the many perks and savings on top of this. Cineworld, Mark Warner, Eurostar, Champneys etc

**Sorry have tried twice to straighten out the table but can't. The first figure is your retail virgin cost, the second is your Pruhealth (gym +insurance) third is your saving and forth is overall saving (combined with the previous month)

The new system SUCKS. Even if I had gained Platimum I would still be paying £8. As it is I am now going to be paying £22 per month

Can anyone tell me if I am going to be paying my Pru sub in ADDITION to this??

And still haven't got the blasted Quidco payment 18months later. If the gym membership is on top of the Pru sub then it will be cheaper to join LA Fitness direct for me so Pru can go and take a running leap!
