Hi PMISpecialist

sounds interesting although a lot of numbers to take in..

you asked about chronic issues, well I have had asthma since I was 12. And I am 27 now. Which is a main reason for me keeping fit etc. Oh and I am a male. And I normally visit the gym every 2 days - so roughly 4 times a week.
oh and feel free to email me ice959@hotmail.com

to everyone else:
1) has anyone used PMISpecialist before? and was everything done smoothly?
2) What benefits do I get as a Pru member?
3) Do I get a scheme like you do with bupa?

I am looking to sign up to something this week (along with 3 of my friends) so the quicker the better

thanks
• I have my gym membership with Virgin a tier 1 club and there is another Virgin tier 1 club I could use as well sometimes.

Can I use more than one virgin active club or just the one.

Watched my first film with cineworld yesterday you get a temporary email pass until your card arrives :)

Actually I would like to know the answer to this aswell.

Also curious, if I'm at a Tier 2 gym, could I use other Tier 2 and Tier 1 gyms?

I assume you are talking about multi standard club membership...

Anyone here registered for Vitalitymed points? I have asthma and have enquired about it. They want a letter from my GP confirming I have the condition, my GP want £35 to do it! Probably not worth it for just a few extra points is it?
• Hi folks - after less than 4 months I am a Goldmember! Fancy a shmoke and a pancake to celebrate?

£35 sounds steep! Some GP's do it for free.

If your already in the swing of things and getting to platinum already or getting there easily enough without vitality med you may as well save your money or ask Pru if there is another way of proving your asthma.

If your struggling to score points or just starting off and your a gym member then it probably worth it as you'll get to platinum much faster and therefore recoup your money by saving on your gym membership.

You get 300 points just for registering your asthma with Pru then extra points in almost everything you do from then on.

i.e.

100 points for flow volume measurement

Normaly you get 10 points for every gym visit. If you register with vitality med as well you score another 5pts every time you go so its 15 points in total.

Your fitness assesment is 300 pts normaly with vitality med its 150 extra = 450

Non smoking declaration is 150 points normaly. 50 extra with VM = 200

So yes if your just starting off then its worthwhile in my opinion as its a one of cost you'll recoup in saving in your gym costs anyway by moving up the levl to Platinum alot quicker. If already getting to platinum easily (or are already), then don't waste your money.
