    Hi,

OVIVO Mobile was closed down on the evening of Wednesday 19th March 2014, I need a supplier who can supply me on the Vodafone network due to coverage problems where I live, before I go directly to Vodafone (£9 per month for 300 mins, 500 texts, 250 GB on a 12 month contract) can anyone suggest a better deal? Voda told me based on my usage to go PAYG would cost me in the region of £35-£40 per month.

Apparently I only use about 183 mins, 110 texts and 6MB per month.

    Thanks.

If you go with Kontakt Mobile then you can get on their flex £5 package which would give you 250 minutes, 1GB data and the £5 for texts per month just for topping up £5 per month.

No contract. Brilliant customer service (well they have been brilliant with me so far).

You might not trust a small MVNO again but that is my suggestion anyway.
  • Hi,

I've been back on the phone and after quite a bit of talking I have managed to get a HTC one M8 (RRP £530) unlimited calls and texts and 1GB of data plus insurance for £794 over a 24 month period - £33 PM.) Im happy with that I was paying £36.60 for much less.

So effectively £11 PM after the price of the phone, with insurance I was going to pay £17 anyway.

I was going to buy a HTC one M8 off Ebay for £530 and also get it insured for £10 PM plus the £7 line rental, that would make my total after 24 months of £938 (same as talktalk, voda initially wanted £1094 for 600 mins, UL texts and 500MB of data)

OK so it means Im stuck with them for another 24 months but ive been with them for about 14 years now anyway so its not going to make much difference to me.

Also means I don't have to be conscious of the amount of time spent on my phone anymore.

don,t forget that with the cheapest gifgaff package (60 mins) every time someone rings you , it adds minutes to your credit. talk talk broadband called me back for an internet problem on sunday and added 127 minutes to my account !
  • Can anyone help?

I've just ported my number to 3's 321 from Ovivo just got a sim as don't know where I want to go to next.

I've got an iphone 5, use iMessages now it won't work as the number on the 3 sim is what is being sent even though the port has been completed. I have no idea about technology! Help?!

Switch iMessage off and on, if it still doesn't pick up the ported number try a "reset network settings" (just have your wifi security code, as you will need to enter it again).

The iphone should pick up the number change once it is totally complete.

Nobody can tell you and who cares? Vodafone get paid for incoming calls/texts, so they don't have any incentive to switch you off.
