"Many" people signed up only because MSE promoted them and, like lemmings, the followed.0

If I was the director, I'd be preying that it didn't go into insolvency at least until the next accounts are due.
There is nothing listed on Companies House, nor on the gazette, nor the website of Ovivo, so I think this needs to be taken with little caution until such time.

Well I will. I've said it before and I'll say it again.
I've just looked at your original post. You claim that the Ovivo tariff was "probably worth about £30 a month".
On what basis do you think that ...? Don't giffgaff, Tesco and various others offer similar amounts of data/texts/calls for about £10 a month?
I can understand your views about it being a Ponzi scheme, but IMO you weaken your argument by greatly overestimating the value of the benefit that Ovivo subscribers were getting, and using that excessive valuation as a basis for an argument about why the financials do not stack up.0 -

Totally agree, I would have valued it at around £5, in line with the super cheap low MB data offerings from the likes of TalkTalk Mobile.====0 -

Classic ponzi scheme which was doomed to failure from the outset, as all ponzi schemes are.
Good luck in your attempts to get people their money back you were all so eager for them to part with in the first place.
Perhaps MSE Martin should consider making a refund out of his own pocket (he can afford it) to all those who took his advice and were suckered into this ponzi scheme as a result
(Of course, if you are successful in getting anything back eventually, then such refunds can go back to MSE Martin)
Well said I was thinking about going with this offer just 2 days before it went t11ts up, but I thought it sounds too good to be true......... Glad I never know.......:DCan't sleep, quit counting sheep and talk directly to the shepherd :cool:0 -

Looks to me as if it has been put into members voluntary liquidation as there would need to be a judgement to make it bankrupt, this may still come.
Think my email must have been deleted as spam as not received one although the only owed me a £ or so and I had fairly good value out of it.
I expect this one to run and run if any skulduggery is found on behalf of the major networks it was never in their interest for it to be given away.I started with nothing and I am proud to say I still have most of it left.0 -
I used my Pre-Pay PayPal Mastercard, and contacted them PayPal, a week after Ovivio closed, due to the fact I contacted PayPal directly (Should have been the number on the back of the card)
They emailed me a claim form within a few minutes, I filled it out, and had to send it back as an attachment.
All I put was that I paid £20 and that they went bust, and added a link the the Ovivio Shutdown page.
Three days later the ruled in my favour, and the money was back in my account.
Took less than twenty minutes in total.
All credit to PayPal :T0 -
PayPal ruled in my favour too!0

Now I've taken more of a look, that would appear to be what's happened.
I've used insolvency procedures with companies before now, but with the proviso that all known debts will be paid in full (so just a formality before the company gets struck off), so have a realistic understanding of how the system works.
If anyone wants it explained in full, please post, and I'll explain it.
