I've used insolvency procedures with companies before now, but with the proviso that all known debts will be paid in full (so just a formality before the company gets struck off), so have a realistic understanding of how the system works.
If anyone wants it explained in full, please post, and I'll explain it.

No, they are not proposing a Members' Voluntary Liquidation. To do that a company must be solvent and able to pay its debts.
What is being proposed (according to Accura's letter of 11 April 2014) is a Creditors' Voluntary Liquidation, which means a company is insolvent and cannot pay its debts.
Simple explanation of what this means at https://www.gov.uk/liquidate-your-company/creditors-voluntary-liquidation0 -
[Edit: Ignore my question, I found it buried within the page here afterwards]
Hi guys.
First time I knew of anything about Ovivo going was today by way of an email, so after some searching I found this forum. I am overseas at the moment working.
Would it be possible for someone to answer me a question?
From reading, everyone seems to suggest Ovivo is down now for everyone, however my phone is still receiving SMS here OK. Is this the same for everyone? Or is this something unique about me being on a foreign phone network somehow?
I will start to look for an alternative to ovivo however if this is somehow the case that it would continue to work, I may wait until I return back to the UK before changing anything (as it is primarily used to receive SMS).
Thanks in advance,0 -
Are any providers open to negotiations - for myself - I am looking for a 2Gb data and 100 txt per month - no talk time at all - on a monthly contract ?
Plenty offer 1Gb/500 minutes and unlimited texts for £10 - but I can't/don't speak - so any talktime is wasted
And who, being honest - sends more than say 5 txts a day, every day ?0 -

Can I suggest you sort it sooner rather than later if your number is of any importance to you. There is a very good chance the whole system will be closed down in the near future and if that happens your number will be dead and not transferable.
The message has changed on their website, and the auto PAC system has been removed. To obtain your PAC to transfer your OVIVO number to another network, please e-mail pac@ovivomobile.com providing your full name, OVIVO mobile number and date of birth. A member of the team will respond with your PAC within 1 working day.
Please note, that from the 2nd June 2014, this website and e-mail address will no longer be operational and you will not be able to request your PAC from OVIVO.====0 -

Sorry, you would have to just go PAYG on something like 3-2-1, no one offers what you suggest as a price plan. And who, being honest - sends more than say 5 txts a day, every day ?
Many, many people do.====0 -

Is there a reason a claim isn't being made on behalf of Ovivo against the party they feel let them down?0

Civil matter they do not have the funds to do it themselves the administrator will have to weigh up if they think it is worth doing it on behalf of creditors.
Of course claims can be made by individuals and regulators.I started with nothing and I am proud to say I still have most of it left.0 -

...and of course much depends on how good/watertight the various contractual arrangements were....0 -
