At least you still have a working mobile. I gave up a month of credit on O2 and ported number across on Tuesday. I know it's only £20 in cash but it's more than that in inconvenience.0

Certainly should check if there was any criminal behaviour. Was it a scam? People had to pay £20 upfront for a SIM card. Multiply by 50000 subscribers, that's a million pounds.0

Would not be surprised, more costs for everyone irrespective of if you took out the deal.0 -
you could always ask this guy

Can you reply to the email, or is it a special no-reply address?
I emailed earlier (it's just pac@ovivomobile.com) but not really expecting a reply! Have now read on HUKD that PAC codes aren't necessarily unique, so having 2 the same may not be a problem - the same PAC can be generated for all numbers using the same mobile 'account' so fingers crossed they will port ok, once I can get my hands on a new sim.0 -
Inteernet is also down from now...what a waste of time.0

Maybe for speed they have been allowed / chosen to use the same pac code for all of us; we all have unique phone numbers.
ETA: not quite, my dad has his and my mum's pacs through, and they differ from mine but his are the same (on different accounts)Toyota - 'Always a better way', avoid buying Toyota.0 -

How are people filing their Paypal claims online?
I'm opening this dispute because:
I haven't received my item.
Or
I received my item, but it is significantly not as described.
If the not described option, what are you choosing tick boxes wise as none seem to be applicable.
I bought 2 sims on the 13th Feb, gutted.
I also have my own Ovivo sim with £27.99 credit on it, £15 of that is my own money, the rest was from transferring my number and 2 referrals for the 2 sims I bought last month.0 -
seriously everyone stop with all the conspiracy theories.
Your name and number for marketing isn't worth that much for them to set up an entire mobile phone network for a ruse to get those details.
It's unlikely they planned to shut down now. More like vodaphone pulled the plug and none of the other 3 networks were willing to give it a go.
There was a glitch 3-4 days prior to the closure where there was a loss of service - this was network wide and ovivo said they were urgently trying to fix it.
I think vodasphone just put a stop to it. Or ovivo were unable to pay the bills.
£1M is not much money for a CEO. If the CEO can build a mobile phone network, get investors, build partnerships with one of UKs biggest phone operator - he's capable of much more.
it's unlikely thathe'll throw his name through the mud and get on investors blacklist for deliberately crashing businesses for a quick buck - if you get a reputation for doing that in business. Investors won't touch you with a bargepole.0
