Yes, most of the questions would be answered by the T&Cs. But it seems to be hip not to read the T&Cs because apparently they are incomprehensible.
Also, unless you bookmarked the T&Cs during the application process, or kept the email with the attachments they sent out about a week ago, it is literally impossible to locate them on the TSB website.
EDIT: Found a relevant page using google advanced search: http://www.tsb.co.uk/legal/current_accounts_legal/classic_account_page.asp0 -
All the banks want you to go paperless but they do not give the facility to download a tax certificate for your savings interest."Look after your pennies and your pounds will look after themselves"0

Why do you want/need a tax certificate? For years, I have had paperless accounts (several dozens of them) and recorded all transactions, including interest payments obviously, in MS Money.
When I come to do my annual self assessment, it takes less than 30 seconds to run a report that adds up all the taxable interest for the year in question. HMRC have never asked to see any tax certificates, and would obviously be welcome to check all my accounts to confirm that my reported interest payments are 100% correct.
You could probably simply record all the interest you received in a spreadsheet, or even on a piece of paper, as interest gets added to your account. Tax certificates are not mandatory, and really are just a waste of trees in an online accounts world.0 -
Guys after a one pound test payment of £1 from Santander to my TSB account...the £3999 has not reached there yet. How long does it take normally? Getting slightly worried here...

If you send Faster Payments from Santander the payments don't usually appear in their destination account until the next day (apart from the initial lower "test" payments).0 -

I've noticed this a few times when sending payments from my Santander 123 Account to any new accounts that have been set up with other financial institutions. I like most send a test payment of a low value before sending the full amount across, only to find the money leaves the account, usually returns, and then finally moves the next day. Having rang Santander about this, they've told me it has rightly gone through some additional security checks before being transferred. During this period the money is normally returned to your account so any interest is not lost, before it's released and resent. I now find it easier to actually ring Santander Fraud Squad on 0845 601 2201, after making a payment to a new account, and after a few security questions, they will release the hold on the payment, and your money is on it's way.0 -

I do record them on a spreadsheet. However if you never had a copy ever and then IR said they were investigating your tax year of up to 6 years ago, you may find it difficult to prove physically what the correct figures are, as anyone can invent figures on a spreadsheet, that's why I, sadly still ask for the paper copy. It may not be that easy to get old Tax Certificates for previous years and may cost you as well.0
