Tsb plus account 5%

If you applied for internet access (which you need to have to get the 5% interest) when you opened the account, you should have all the information you need to access internat banking
i.e. ID, password, and memorable word.
because you advised TSB of them!
Do you have them and if so have you tried to access internet banking?
What brenda10 referred to was an activation code. You may not have this yet, although for most it arrived before the debit card. This doesn't stop you accessing internet banking, but some parts are restricted e.g. you cannot pay anyone.
But you will see your balance and any transactions
This wasn't the case with me. I had to wait for my online banking activation code before I could access internet banking. I never received or needed an activation code to actually use my accounts fully.0 -
I've read multiple times that an internal transfer can be used but also found this MSN Money page which says
There's definitely some confusion on this. Has anyone scanned the T&Cs for definitive answer (assuming they'd cover this point)?
Have you got one of these accounts? If not, that may explain in part why you are confused, but sadly causes more confusion as to why you are so interested in the first place.
If you do have an account, are you saying you did not read the terms and conditions that you would have had to confirm you did read before being allowed to apply?
Either way, can you not read the terms now if you are still confused? There's a heck of a lot of confusing stuff on the internet. Best to go to the horse's mouth and find out for yourself if you need to know0 -

How odd.
If you apply for internet banking, you should need an activation code to acccess certain functions, but access to the account itself is via the details you supply online.
Did you apply online?
Edit: Here you said you received your activation code and could now access your internet account

Copied directly from the T&C's, source of funding is not specified so flipping £500 between 2 accounts is compliant :-

Just read the whole thread  before applying for Mrs B to have an account.
Couple of interesting things
Opened her first account on-line-accepted straight away and given account sort code and number
Ineterstingly at the bottom of the page there wasAdd another account holder
To make your new TSB Classic Plus Account a joint account, both you and your partner will need to visit any TSB branch and sign a joint account request form.
I upgraded two of my Vantage accounts to Plus yesterday and there was no option to make either one a joint account.
Will be ringing shortly to see if it can be done over the phone.
Paperless
T&C's statebe registered for Internet Banking and paperless statements and when available, paperless correspondence.
Internet banking paperless option default when logging in for the first time, as Mrs B did without needing the activation code-just the username and password she created.
Funding
Nowhere in the T&C's does it state from where the funds have to come.
So IMHO internal transfers are OK.0 -

Yes, that works thanks! Why didn't they make it clear that the 'activation code' wasn't a showstopper, just a means to give full access??0 -
In reply to all those wondering about how to choose the 'paperless option' (a condition of the 5%) and with reference to all those to say the option isn't yet available...
When I logged in for the first time just now (without an activation code, so just accessing the balance) the option was right there on the screen - indeed I couldn't proceed to the account without answering it.
So the option is there, certainly for first time log-ins without an activation code.
It may have just been changed of course and may not have been the case earlier, or may not be the case if you log-in with an activation code (which might unintentionally take you past the question) - I don't know. But it was definitely there for me today, just now.0 -
Really annoyed with TSB.
Girlfriend applied to open Classic Plus account at the end of March, was told to take ID into branch. Did that two weeks ago and haven't heard anything. Phoned them up today and told that there is no record of the ID and then put through to the branch whereby told that the sort code and account number she was given are invalid so there isn't a way to match that to her details.
So now she has to go into branch again and probably be credit checked again. So we'll be raising a complaint. I'm going to complain anyway as I had to re-register for internet banking after their password resets weren't working and took absolutely forever to be sent a new activation code (after chasing them). Not been very impressed with them so far.0 -

Paperless *statements* was an option for me ... are you saying you got an option for paperless *correspondence*?0 -

Rang to change this to a Joint account over the phone.
Not possible according to the agent.
