Rightmove - House appearing in searches but not being looked at

The right move picture for the front of the property was better.
I have no issues with cats in pictures
Back garden picture would put me off - too overlooked
Your front room and sofa room are too bland - there are no nik naks that make it feel homely. It is too minimalistic.
Decor is a little bright but down to personal taste
Good luck with your house saleFood and Smellies Shop target £50 pw - managed average of £49 per week in 2013 down to £38.90 per week in 20160

I would be put off by the fact that there are no photos of the garden, the bathrooms or 2 of the bedrooms.
In terms of the house itself, I *personally* would probably not view the house due to the front of the house being practically on the pavement with next to no front garden, and would personally be put off by how small the back garden is. Obviously those are not things you can change, but may be relevant if people are searching for 4 bedrooms but and then narrowing down the results based on their personal preferences. Get rid of picture 4 and see whether the agents can label the pictures so it's clearer what they are of.

It seems not everyone can recognise art deco when they see it. And, imho, this is what may be restricting the OP. If I was trying to sell, I'd forego my sense of style and just give the potential buyers what they expect to see - new builds have to be modern, blank canvasses because viewers will not see through your personal taste in period furnishings.
For what it's worth I like your art deco taste (but the sofa/wallpaper in the much maligned pic 4 is at odds with this as everyone rightly says) but to sell you need to dumb it down I'm afraid. Good luck.Mornië utulië0

Here is a link to your local camera club, hope they can help.

Thanks for the camera club link, t's very good of you.
Hi Lord Baltimore - picture 4 has been removed and replaced with something far more inoffensive.
And yes, art deco, I love it... with a bit of 50s kitsch thrown in for good measure!
Once this house sells I have my fingers crossed that an arts and crafts house that I have my eye on will still be available...0

I think your house looks very nice. I always look at properties on Rightmove as I may have to move in the not too distant future. I actually like seeing cats in the pictures as it looks more homely and it shows it is more than likely a safe place if you have your own cat. The decor looks fine to me but it could easily be changed if not to someones taste.0

Any hint of a cat would stop us viewing. Excluding them on the photos wouldn't help, as around 3 minutes into any viewing DH would have an allergic reaction to it and that would be game over. We'd have to rip every carpet out and have the whole house de-catted before we could go near.Trying to be a man is a waste of a woman0

I've seen particulars where there's a cat/cats asleep on the beds! Never heard of it being off-putting before. Even if you have an allergy, you have to remember that the cat will be moving out with the vendors!
Your en-suite is fab, you really need to get that pic added in. I haven't bogged off yet, and I ain't no babe I haven't bogged off yet, and I ain't no babe 0 0

They don't generally take every cat hair with them though . Trying to be a man is a waste of a woman0 . Trying to be a man is a waste of a woman0
