Thank you for not making dishonest claims, the moment we all start justifying false INR claims is the day none of us will be able to afford to send without tracking.callmechar wrote: »Silly woman just responded saying it costs much more new and was listed as "used" - I am going to give her negative feedback

She said "The condition was marked as "used". If you don't want it you need to post it back and you only will get the refund for the price of the bag. They originally cost very much when new. "Thank you for not making dishonest claims, the moment we all start justifying false INR claims is the day none of us will be able to afford to send without tracking.

^This.
Plus the seller should refund the original costs. That includes the price of the bag and the original postage costs. If they refuse to then escalate the case. Ebay will refund you in full upon return and the seller will get a black mark against their name. It's not right that you should be out of pocket for postage to you and return.0 -

Since when?
She's only going to get the cost of the bag back. Plus she's disputing via PayPal, so can't open an eBay case.Trying to be a man is a waste of a woman0 -
I don't get the difference in disputing via ebay or Paypal? Which is better?0

Ebay have always refunded the original item cost plus original postage costs back when an item is returned. Only thing they don't refund is the return postage costs. A good seller would refund the whole amount, why should the buyer be out of pocket for all postage costs?
I know you can't open an ebay case when a Paypal case is open but I missed where it said Paypal claim.0 -
Should I close the paypal claim and open an ebay claim?0

Well personally I always go through ebay as that's where I bought the item from and ebay can sometimes be helpful and provide a postage label for returns. I always thought both allowed you to get a full refund though (item+original postage) but if it's like what notanewuser said and you only get item costs back then ebay would be the better choice, otherwise not really much difference that I know of.0 -

No. I'm sure you can only open one case for a transaction.0 -
Makes no difference. Unless something has changed recently eBay doesn't require the seller to refund any postage costs, hence there isn't always much point in disputing for low price items because you end up out of pocket for postage x2.
It's not fair, but that's how it is. I did say I wouldn't normally advise anybody do INR when they have the item - and I've never done it myself - but in this case it's the only way the OP won't lose out. (Except now she's opened a case and messaged the seller so that won't work.)Trying to be a man is a waste of a woman0
