    I have taken vits.

Why not eat a healthy diet instead of taking supplements? Will do you a lot better:

That aside, to look glamorous you dont need a massive budget but it is about investing your budget wisely. When you do spend big ensure its on classic well made pieces that wont go out of style and will last.

Add quality accessories to budget clothing can lift the whole outfit plus people assume that if some of your outfit is high end then the whole lot must be. The Mrs had a woman ask if her top was Prada or Dior in one top London hotel bar, she corrected her and pointed out it was Primark :rotfl:

The rest is just about making the effort, dont go out in those scruffy old jeans and baggy t-shirt. Dont go out without at least basic makeup and hair. It takes a lot of effort to master the natural/ effortless look ;)

As to perfumes, many perfumes these days are made of rubbish. Find a high quality perfume that you like and stick to it despite its price. A tiny quantity of it should last 12-18 hours and still smell reasonably strong where as these fashion perfumes you're luck to get an hour out of it before needing to reapply.

Glamour is an ephemeral thing, I'd rather have my own style so that my outside reflects me as a person and I'm not a slave to fashion. Fashion changes quickly to maximise product sales. It's probably one of the most wasteful industries out there.

I came across a library book when I was a kid which was all about style on a budget and though I don't remember the title, I remember some of the suggestions -

    (a) To wear natural fibres not synthetic because they feel better and age gracefully. High end clothes aren't polyester. (and natural biodegrade so better for the planet).
    (b) Black, white, navy and grey are timeless to which colour can be added with accessories and even cheap clothes look better in say navy rather than in dayglo orange.
    (c) alternatively go really now fashionable in crazy colours in cheap clothes and get rid of them as fashion changes but don't try to buy cheap fashion and make it last.
    (d) good accessories can make a cheap outfit look better
    (e) if you find a great jacket with naff buttons, get better ones and change them.
    (f) be imaginative, shop everywhere

I have temporarily lost my glamourpuss status as I have started cleaning up the garden for the spring.

I scrubbed the patio, painted fences, dug over beds and over the next few days I'm putting up a polytunnel and filling a skip.

On a good note, the fresh air has given me roses in my cheeks and burnt off a load of calories, not to mention toned me up a bit if the pain in my leg and butt muscles is anything to go by.

On a bad note my hair looks like something has tried to nest in it, despite the hairspray to keep it in check, and I've had to cut my nails down to nothing. For the last two evenings sat with my hands covered in warm aqueous cream they were so dry and stiff.

However I have kept up with the other routines I have implemented, and this weekend I am dying my hair and resuming 'normal' garden behaviour, which is basically gentle puttering.

I'd be too busy drooling over Johnny Depp to take any notes <sigh>

High heels don't do it for me and I find them difficult to walk in but boots oh yeah boots..

This is how I have been feeling at times. i am determined to be more organised and to be able to open my wardrobe in the morning and find something suitable to wear.

Today I am going into town to see about hair extensions consult the Clarins assistant and maybe get some freebies ;)

My skincare routine is going well

    Exercise not so well :(

    Eating healthily

    Conditioning, buffing and moisturizing everything

My nails are even growing I have started wearing rubber gloves when cleaning and washing up.

I have got a new hangy uppie thing for necklaces etc which make for a faster choice in the morning, I am trying to wear key pieces more.

I will report back later when I have more time :):):)
