How to become glamorous?

Controlling hair frizz
I now only use a wide tooth comb rather than a brush which causes friction.
I use argon oil on wet and dry hair ( protects from heat and smooths ) Also use same oil on face and body.Cherish those you have in your life because you never know when they won't be there anymore.
No matter how you feel, get up, dress up & never give up.0 -
I would recommend booking a personal shopper day at somewhere like Debenhams, glamour comes from dressing to suit your age & shape, slapping on a load of make up isn't essential, neither is dripping in jewels or tottering on heels. Being well groomed & wearing clothes that fit & sui will do the job just as well.I don't respond to stupid so that's why I am ignoring you.

One thing I do splash out on is a Brazilian blow-dry, it sleeks my naturally frizzy hair down & only needs to be done 2-3 times a year at a cost of £69 plus a trim. I don't need a cut anytime in between as the keratin keeps my hair in tip top shape & as I don't use straighteners & only rough dry it, split ends are minimal.
I see a lot of women & young girls who probably think they look fab & very glam but to me look over done & a bit muttonish. Fake nails, fake, tan, fake eye lashes, an inch of makeup on their faces & clothes that are either too revealing for their shape/size or age or are badly fitting.
I'm all for freedom to express in anyway & maybe they are going for the towie/marbs crowd look, then they succeeded but classy & glam they aren't.I don't respond to stupid so that's why I am ignoring you.

We have no children, only cats and they didn't seem interested in doing anything for me this morning
However, I have had two stonking hair and beauty days. Figured out a side parting looks much better on me and it has been behaving nicely. Started mixing a little foundation with my face cream and wearing that every day, which has been making me feel much better than going without or wearing full foundation. I have been playing with eyeliner to create a Sophia Loren type cat eye, although not as big and black as hers, and now have found a look that suits me.
I wouldn't say I'm the least glamorous person on the planet. However, I don't want to be glamorous at the same time if that makes sense
However, I'm not the best at styling my hair or applying makeup. No matter how I try it just doesn't happen. I'd love to be able to recreate a cat eyeliner effect, but, even after watching a variety of youtube tutorials, I can never manage it. It just ends up looking a mess.
As for clothes, I've lived in skinny jeans, pumps and t-shirts for so long, I wouldn't have a clue what goes with what. After saying that I am completely hopeless in high heels lol, so they are a no go for me.
I would maybe like to try skirts/tops and dresses, but not sure about the foot wear.
cottage economy, how long did it take you to master the eyeliner technique? I do like the late 1960/1970's image.0 -
Hi,
Does anyone have a checklist please so that I can start working my way through it?
I have signed up as a model at the local hair and beauty school so will be having some treatments done soon.

Wow haven't you been doing well, I must admit I find it hard to keep it all up.
I have been absent for a while now but my endeavours are still ongoing. I have recently started anew job in a very high end accessories shop, where I am surrounded by mirrors and very glam ladies who think nothing on spending £300 on a whim.
I love what I do and am becoming more aware of what other women do. Also looking in the mirror from all angles has spurred me on to do something with my hair!!
So recently I have....
1. Lost a bit of weight
2. Looking smarter and elegant for work as this is a requirement.
3. Bought some Prada sunglasses off ebay which I love.
4. Fake tan on my pasty legs
5. The biggest improvement is I took the plunge and had a few hair extensions, 12 on each side of my face which fills in the area where my hair will just not grow to any length. Wow what a difference, I love it. :j
I still need to ....
1. Whiten my teeth with my home kit again
2. Pull my shoulders back and stand tall.
3. Edit my wardrobe again.
4. Get more sleep and smile more
How is everyone else getting on ???
Cracking thread
If you haven't done the teeth whitening, go to dentist and get proper moulds done. They will give you their professional opinion too, if you need it done, and give you the right product for your teeth if you do
My partners daughter is a dental therapist, and really has not a lot to say for the home kits. She also says, having your teeth professionally whitened is a great way to take a good few years off you0 -
I'm unsure if this has been mentioned but smile, simply smile!I AM DEBT FREE!0
