How to become glamorous?

I start a job next week so have been trying on all my work suits (none of them fit I've put on too much weight ). Tomorrow I will have to go out and buy some smart work clothes. I am hoping having to look fairly decent during the week will give me the kick I need to make an effort at the weekends as well.
lushplus4 well done on your date :T
OOh good luck with your new job, hope you find some items you love.
I'm looking forward to my date tonight, it's an online fella so it will be interesting to meet him in the flesh so to speak.0 -
Don't lose sight of yourself. What did your old flame look like? I mean really look like, he may have walked away thinking oh no I look tired, old, blah blah and she looked glowing and carefree
You don't need to glam yourself up to the point that you are unapproachable or high maintenance or worse meet a new fella and then never be able to let him see you tired, grumpy, hungover or just shiny, smudgy, bed hair, bare faced :rotfl:
You can buy good hair extensions and learn how to put them in rather than pay a fortune at a salon. Have to say though as shallow as it sounds it really does make me feel better when my hair, nails and skin look good. But head up, making eye contact and smiling works wonders.
The old flame was gorgeous, just my type. It didn't work out so I won't dwell on it.
I know what you mean about glaming up too much, I don't think I'm in any danger of that. I just want to feel more confident in myself. It would be nice to have a guy in the first place to see me in my grumpy bedhair shiny self. :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:0 -
:jDate tonight, high heels and lashes out!!!:j0

I wonder if hubby thinks I'm glamorous in my face mask??0

Well I had my date last night and went feeling confident and stylish. I came home feeling disappointed and early. I had to make polite conversation for a couple of hours with a really nervous bloke, who was really sweet but not my type. I will keep trying though, I don't want to be single forever.
On the upside I have started to declutter wardrobe, I have the most disgusting skirt in the world ! I may post a picture of my shame.:o:o:o I can't believe I have parted with my hard earned money for such an item.
Money is tight at the moment so anything I buy must be thought about carefully. I do know M&S are doing a voucher thing it you take in your old item for charity this Wednesday I think.
I have also found some gradual tan lotion so will be applying in the evening as I am looking really pale at the moment.
I have also bought some more shoe polish to keep everything looking their best.:):)

I always remember watching the remake of the Thomas Crown Affair and finding the character played by Rene Russo amazingly glamorous. I watched that film so many times. At one stage I was taking style notes :rotfl:0

I think it's a great idea to make notes, you learn that way:T:T:T0 -
