Crazy, i was posting here before I was 24 weeks as it doesn't say that it's for 24 weeks plus. I guess most of the conversation is not relevant unless you are further along though :)

All are welcome here but I did find the 12-24 thread useful as people were at the same stage as me. I used to pop on here occasionally to ask questions too.

Still no sign. Period pain disappeared too :( feeling slightly down about it as really thought things were at least starting. Hurry up baby!

That doesn't sound right to me? The boiling water is to sterilise the formula powder, if you are using cooled boiling water then it won't be hot enough to do that?

I'm just going off what my midwife told me to do. My babies have had no problems (not even reflux or colic) so I'm happy with the way we're doing it.

I always read this thread and asked a few questions if the 12-24 thread was quiet.

Just had a lovely, much needed nap!! I did go to work today but had a half day in the end as I was achey, tired and have a sore throat. Also meant I had time to pop to the shop to get something nice in for dinner as its my wedding anniversary today!!

Have leave tomorrow so will have a nice lay in and fairly lazy day. Then I have just next week a work. Luckily my boss has agreed to let me work shorter days next week as she can see I'm struggling.

Hope everyone is good. Hope things pick up soon flutter.

    Happy anniversary ThinkPink!

I received confirmation of my infant feeding session today so that's another date in the diary, hopefully it will be informative and a good chance to meet some others in the same boat locally.

I have so many things that I want to get done at home before baby is here, nothing massive just things which I've been meaning to do for a while and haven't gotten round to yet. 6 weeks left of work so I hope that he doesn't make an appearance too early and I get a couple of weeks after finishing to potter around!

I'm hoping the same beckyy. I should have 5 weeks off before he comes and I want to get lots done.

Had a letter today arranging my appointment with the health visitor at my house, unfortunately it's for next Friday when I'm still at work so need to ring up tomorrow to rearrange. What do they discuss at this visit?

:rotfl:I finished at 37 weeks, giving me plenty of time to get all the things done that needed doing, I did worry I'd go early and not get them done. Guess I jinxed that one! I'm bored of pottering around now.

Happy anniversary ThinkPink. My HV came last week and she asked about who lived in the house (we have OH's kids 4 nights a wk), what family support we have available, any health issues, explained the HV role, gave info on BF and other baby related things, and most useful, she gave me a printed list of baby groups in the local area.

Oh that's useful flutter. I was a bit worried I'm going to come across clueless as I haven't decided yet about feeding plus our house is currently undergoing some diy so it doesn't look like we are ready for his arrival. But from what you have said it should all be fine.

They aren't doing hv visits before birth in our area yet although it seems to be getting more common.

Big wet run for birthing pool today, I hope it goes well as 38 weeks tomorrow and would love to know it's all OK so I can actually relax. I'm finding it really hard to actually stop doing stuff since I left work, it's been lovely meeting up with friends but I'm not actually resting. Hubby keeps telling me to slow down too, oops!

    Keep thinking positive flutter!
