I'm finding it really hard to actually stop doing stuff since I left work, it's been lovely meeting up with friends but I'm not actually resting. Hubby keeps telling me to slow down too, oops!
Keep thinking positive flutter!
Thanks jtr, still nada. Keep getting on/off period pains but no further progression. I'm going to buy some clary sage oil today and attempt a bath, though OH may have to hoist me in and out of it!! :rotfl:
Please make sure you make time for resting. I was the same, rushing around my first 2 weeks of maternity leave for appts, lunches and doing stuff. But I reached a burn out point and then needed to spend 2 days doing nothing to recover. Now I'm spacing out things and making sure I stay in bed for an hour or so after OH leaves in mornings, and try to get an afternoon nap in before he comes home from work too.* Rainbow baby boy born 9th August 2016 *

jtr are you going for a home water birth? I was only thinking about having one at hospital but my reflexologist asked if I had thought about it... I'm not really sure!Became Mrs Scotland 16.01.16

Flutter - I had that earlier this week, I kept having funny turns around lunch time and realised I wasn't eating properly where I'd been out and about, have had an afternoon nap the past two days and having a lazy day off with hubby today as well!
Psycho - we sure are! I am really lucky that I have the most supportive husband in the world who completely agrees with the concept that being in my own environment with him will hopefully make things much less stressful on the day. Having read some stories of the hoops other ladies have had to jump through for home births, we've done ok. I have a high BMI and a previous borderline PPH but we got signed off absolutely fine. It was a toss up between home and the local MLU but I realised that there's nothing I can have at the MLU that I can't have at home and the whole rigmaroll of having to get in the car and go somewhere will be a real pain.
Am totally keeping an open mind that it might not happen that way, or I might even change my mind on the day but I am hoping all will go well. The thought of being able to hop in to my own bed afterwards is keeping me strong!

Also, the difference is that even if you end up in hospital or something, you made your initial choices and tried your best... which makes a big difference mentally! To feel in control of your own choices!

Managed to rearrange my health visitor appointment, she seems really nice from chatting to her on the phone.
Had midwife this evening, all looks ok, measuring as he should, blood d pressure fine and no protein in my urine this time. Also had a quick chat about birthing locations and feeding. This will be discussed in more detail at my antenatal classes, but feeling much happier about the options available to me.0 -
That's good ThinkPink
We have our 4D scan tomorrow and a midwife app on Monday. DH can come with me as we are off work for a week so he will be able to hear the heartbeat
The cot wasn't delivered today, I couldn't get a straight story out of the delivery company so I am not impressed to say the least. The mothercare advisor today said she will escalate it to managerial level now and even the delivery company team leader I spoke to this evening said it's ridiculous (you're telling me!!) I'm tempted to get DH to drive to depot to get it now as I don't believe it will actually be delivered now and don't want to spend our week off waiting in for a delivery that is never going to happen. Very glad we did not wait til later on to order these things!Became Mrs Scotland 16.01.16Became homeowners 26.02.16

We had a 4d scan, it was amazing. Baby looked like a baby too and not like an alien like they sometimes do, it was so cute. Can't wait to see if he has oh nose like they scan indicated! (Oh has a nicer nose than me so fingers crossed!!)
I'm leaning towards the local mlu, as its smaller and quieter. Also, I explained to the midwife I was hoping for a pool birthday and she said that I can ring when things get started and go to whichever one has a free pool so I'm feeling happier that I don't need to make a definite decision. I also said about feeding so she suggested I get a formula starter pack but that if I decide I want to breastfeed then the option is there so im going to do that so I have both options available to me.
I would be tempted to collect from the depot, at least that way you have it, and as you say won't waste any days waiting on for it.0 -
Things seem so expensive at mothercare. Been in a few times but not bought anything.
We've got curtains and a blind up in the nursery now. It's looking really nice. We spent ages looking for curtains in Dunelm and places but couldn't find any we really liked. There are some specific nursery curtains that had nice patterns or pictures on but only in a narrow strip, the rest of the curtain was then just thin stripes or checked like a tea towel.
Got some from Aldi in the end, really good and only cost £19.99 - matched the room well and blackout ones.
The conversion is coming along nicely, having new worktop fitted on Wednesday. The extension is also now finally starting to look like something!
We're away at the moment and enjoying having a break. Not been away in over a year, I needed to leave the house - the constant work was driving me insane!
We had another name talk yesterday - think we're closer to possible decisionMortgage remaining: £42,260 of £77,000 (2.59% til 03/18 - 2.09% til 03/23)

Last night I had a clary sage bath. Smelt lovely and was relaxing but not even a sodding twinge as a result
. Also dtd with OH and nada! This baby is too comfy. I've said oh can play cricket today so he reckons I'll start labour about 2pm lol but I doubt it.
Enjoy your time away Freddie. Hope you get good scan pics Psycho.* Rainbow baby boy born 9th August 2016 *

We tried to have a 4D scan but seven separate attempts over two days, each a week apart yielded one solitary picture! She either had her face in the placenta or covered with her hands, or feet and hands. At one point she even had the cord actually pulled over her face :rotfl: we just decided she clearly didn't want to be seen. Hope you have better luck!
We did our pool test run last night and it took about 40 minutes to fill, I was allowed to have 20 minutes in it whilst full to have a play, it was lovely and it really holds the temperature well. Hubby works for water board and had done some plumbing bits and got a super size pump so it emptied in less than 10 minutes.
38 weeks today! Didn't have a good night, have had a couple of instances of bad trapped wind and last night I could barely move for the pain. I think her being engaged isn't helping, I didn't even have anything fizzy, I hope it eases off soon.
Hope you can get your cot sorted out psycho, sounds frustrating!
Is it a downstairs extension Freddie? We've now had our loft conversion planning application approved so are waiting on structural engineer quote for steel calculations and building regs.
Good luck flutter, true edd should be calculated at 40+5, and then allow for individual variation! I know it's frustrating but baby will come when baby is ready
