I just had a panic then as I had mine at 31 weeks, but just checked on nhs and it says up to 32 weeks. Seems to be lots of conflicting advice about when to have it!! No one (gp or midwife) ever mentioned it to me, it was only when I asked at my 28 week midwife appointment that it was discussed.0

I had mine at just over 20 weeks, kept getting texts from my doctors surgery reminding me! It's due to there being an increase in severe cases of whooping cough between birth and 8 week injections.Became Mrs Scotland 16.01.16

I had mine at 28weeks too. The guidelines have just changed saying you can have it from 16wks now (I think) but that wasn't implemented here.
I have my growth scan today :S actually feeling okay about it, what will be will be. Hopefully baby won't be too chunky and I can still go for my water birth. I'll update you later.
I also have 2nd acupuncture session and I'm having my hair done this afternoon. I was just getting it cut and was going to box dye it to save money but OH is treating me to a proper colour* Rainbow baby boy born 9th August 2016 *

I had my whooping cough vaccine as well - can't remember now what week it was at - mainly as I live abroad and you can't be too careful here. They love coming up and touching babies, eh I don't think so! You can keep your distance and not take pictures of my newborn thank you very much.
Bed rest is so so boring! I've my growth scan on Saturday as well Flutterby, I'm hoping all will be good and baby is the right way around. Both me and OH family's make big !!! babies so I've resigned myself to having a big girl!
I *may* have done 20 minutes of cleaning today but I will spend the rest of the day in bed. Hubby is having a very stressful time at work and I think he didn't entirely know how much I actually do around our house - he thanked me last night and told me he'd never take what I do for granted being at home as he cant keep up - he's a good one!094 Sealed pot member! (7) €185 (8) €138 (9) €€250

Growth scan went wellbaby is measuring 8lb3 which is within the limits so although it may be a big under I can still go to the MLU. Feel so much better now.

I had the whooping cough vaccination this week (28 weeks).
Freddie, our midwife filled out a form for antenatal classes just after 12 weeks. We got them through in the post, she said they'd be anytime from 28 weeks on wards and ours are at 32/33 weeks. I hope you get some joy with them.
I'm starting to notice I get tired a bit quicker now, and definitely feeling rather round compared to a couple of weeks agoI checked how many days I have left at work too, which is scary as it's far less than I expected and only 78 days until due date - feeling very real now!
I hope everyone is well.0 -
I was just saying to my oh I only have 13 days left at work, it only seems about 2 weeks ago that I was saying I had about 60 days left!! I actually think it must be about 60 days now til my due date.
glad the growth scan went well flutter.
I've not been given any information yet about where I can give birth. I did some research yesterday and there is a mlu in a hospital which is a five minute drive away or there is a mlu and consultant lead unit in the main hospital which is about 20-30 mins away depending on time of day. I want to have the pool as an option so I may go with whichever is more likely to be able to provide that but then I'm a bit worried if I opt for the mlu that is local that I would then need to be transferred to the hospital further away. Argh, I hate making important decisions!
Hope the bed rest isn't too boring Tata.x0 -
OH has 6 working days left! Crazy.
Thanks everyone for replies to my question.
She's having the jab this afternoon but was worrying about it. She was reading bad things online, which are of course always very easy to find if you specifically search for them.
Think with everything going well this time she's scared of doing anything that could change that, but it's supposed to be safe.
Our midwife isn't hugely helpful, she also gives us a lot of info that contradicts what we've read before (on NHS/babycentre etc)
She was trying to make OH feel awful for wanting to wait til week 30 to get the vaccination, even though on the NHS it says 20-32 weeks is optimal time.
It made her book it earlier despite being rushed off her feet at the moment, just because she didn't want the stress from the midwife.
I swear she's booking the appointments further apart than they should be too.
I'm disappointed because the midwife we had at our booking appointment was lovely and she was the one who called ahead to battle and get us a scan at 12 weeks before we arrived.
We agreed to have our appointment on the same day of the week next time. We should have asked for a different day in the hope it might ave been a different midwife!Mortgage remaining: £42,260 of £77,000 (2.59% til 03/18 - 2.09% til 03/23)
