Thanks guys, nothing much I can do but rest and wait. At least I've packed my hospital bags and the only thing I didn't do was cook any freezer meals. Hubby put the car seat in the car and cot in our bedroom so least everything is done.094 Sealed pot member! (7) €185 (8) €138 (9) €€250

Back from my 31 week check up. Whooping cough injection wasn't anywhere near as bad as I imagined so I think my needle phobia is now under control!! She did mention about a small amount of protein in my urine, but didn't seem too concerned. I asked about my swollen fingers and she said just to keep an eye on them and if they, or my feet get suddenly worse or I get bad headaches to go straight to the Dr. Blood pressure was within the normal range, but she did say comparing it to my previous readings it was slightly higher, I did wonder after if that could have been due to worrying about the injection!!! But she didn't seem concerned but said if they do get worse it could be a sign of preeclampsia. Let's hope not!!0

Morning all.
I'm 38 weeks today
I've had two big nosebleeds in last 12 hours, I also had one massive one on Friday. I have MW appt in an hour so will mention it then.
I didn't sleep very well last night, took 45mins for nosebleed to stop last night then I tossed and turned for few hours before giving up around 5am. I managed 2 half hour sleeps since then though.
Final hypnobirthing class tonight, hope it's not as lengthy as last one and that we learn a bit more!

MW said nosebleeds are normal. I came over all nauseous there, again normal hormonal reaction. Baby has turned slightly, not back to back but is on my side. So no sofa laying for me (damn it, I love my comfy L shaped sofa!) So I'm currently bouncing on the birthing ball!* Rainbow baby boy born 9th August 2016 *

Flutter I've always found the ball helps!
So my blood pressure is down today but still protein in my urineI'm now on bed rest for the remainder of my pregnancy. Glad my blood pressure is down though, makes me feel better to have baby girl in there for a few more days. Got another appointment on Saturday so we will get to see what position she's in and do a growth scan.
My OB is amazing - kept asking me to give him a call during the week if I felt any niggles or any other symptoms.094 Sealed pot member! (7) €185 (8) €138 (9) €€250

Argh. Finished work today. Seems so weird and never thought I'd cry. But saying goodbye to everyone for just over a year..I did quite a few times. Got spoiled rotten. A collection, vouchers, presents, cards. Can't believe it.
Husband's operation tomorrow. So once we are clear of that and he's home and recouperating I can relax a bit and get things finished around the house and wind down a bit before she arrives.
Letter from the home health visitor. They'll be having their first visit next Thursday. Everything is happening.Book a week challenge: 11/52. Competitions won in 2021: 120 -
Crazy - hope your OH'S operation goes well.
I must say I am extremely disappointed in the NHS hypnobirthing class. Yes it was free but in 2 x 3 hours sessions, literally less than 45mins were actually relevant hypnobirthing details. Most of was the history behind it and then tonight was a rehash of various ante natal classes. She spent more time talking about pain options and why each were bad rather than hypnobirthing stuff.
The only hypnobirthing "technics" we were shown/taught were relaxing breathing, how to massage your partner (same as any normal massage), visualisation (go to your happy place!) and she read a birth script at end of each session.
I'm so disappointed as I'm anxious about not having control at birth so wanted it to help with that. Also I'm annoyed that I dragged OH to it, we have had to rearrange childcare for his children as the classes were on the nights we normally have them.
I did fill out the evaluation form stating my disappointment in the lack of actual techniques. The only useful but I found was seeing a few hypnobirth birth videos, but I could have looked on YouTube myself.* Rainbow baby boy born 9th August 2016 *

That's a pain Flutterby.
When do ante natal classes start and how do you find out about them?
I was expecting that we'd get some contact from the children's centre in our town as we gave details at the booking appointment.
It's 28 weeks and haven't heard anything yet. Are they after 30 weeks?Mortgage remaining: £42,260 of £77,000 (2.59% til 03/18 - 2.09% til 03/23)
