Flutter.. go.. set of an hour early (or 2) so you can have regular stops for feeds, nappy changes.. food.. wee's... we regularly took our girls to OH's parents, usually a 2 hour drive but up to 4 a few times, and they were just fine..

Flutter - have you been given any scripts to practice or tracks to listen to? Is the course a Katherine Graves one?

I have to say that pregnancy yoga prepped me well for hypnobirthing, I am already familiar with breathing awareness and visualisation. I'm making myself do some practice every day now, including pelvic floor!

35 weeks tomorrow, morning job is to finish packing bags and then we are having a bbq with hubbys cousin which will be great, they are really nice people!

Flutterby we will be travelling from Essex to Scotland for Christmas and the baby will be a maximum of 8 weeks old. Go for it! You will figure it out at the time, and people will understand if you nip off to sort baby out etc :)

I agree that you should go flutter. Especially if you have a room you or oh can go off to with little one should you need it.

We have a wedding when little one is about 7 months old, and its not the distance that is putting me off taking him but more it's in London, across a few locations and I think the plan is that it will be a big party, and I'm just not sure ill take him, if it was local it wouldn't be so bad as I could take him for the day then drop him at my mums for the evening but as its a two hour drive that isn't possible. Thing is its a very close family member and I'm sure they will want him there, but I'm just not sure. I will see closer to the time how he is and also I'll know more then about the wedding plans.

I feel totally unprepared for birth, I've really not thought much about it, nor looked into techniques to help!! I also still haven't got anything out of its boxes (pushchair, car seat and base, cot, monitor etc) to check it's all there and works. I feel like I can't concentrate on any of that until I finish work in four weeks time.

I wouldn't worry. I think most people would feel the same on the day whether they prepared or not. I haven't written a birth plan and don't really plan to as I think whatever I think I want to do now would go out of the window when the day comes. I know roughly what I want to happen and not happen and that's enough. I feel strangely calm and ready for it all. Which is very weird as I thought I'd be panicking and scared the nearer it got...then again, on the day she comes who knows. I might be crying and hiding in a corner.

I kind of have an idea about pain management, but am very much open to that changing on the day of I am not coping with the pain!! It's more additional things like techniques that I've not really researched.

Baby is having a quiet day, I've concluded it is his pattern, he has a couple of days of moving about lots then will have a rest day, always makes me worry though on a rest day!!

I haven't felt baby move properly for a couple of days. I still don't have that much movement so not sure if it's just that I'm not feeling it... So difficult to tell :(
