The GP will do the 28 week bloods.. why did the MW not do them if you've seen her? They are supposed to do them... maybe just being lazy
.. ring them all, see who can fit you in soonest or at the most convenient time.

Infection has cleared up nicely, and I took the last antibiotic today
belly button just looks a bit bruised now, but it'll heal soon enough.
Got so much pressure down below today, it's getting very uncomfortable. If I've been sat down a while and then stand up, it's quite painful.
Urgh, so tired. Can't wait for maternity leave to start!February wins: Theatre tickets0 -
Congratulations Lemon Tree!!
I was a bit lonely on my maternity leave, but I guess people more than made up for it once the twins arrived!!
Pigpen I wouldn't have wished my SPD on my worst enemy, god knows how you're holding up, although I admit I went massively stir crazy once I finished work which probably didn't help me - can't imagine what I'd have been like with school runs and other children to run after!
My girls are a month old today! They are currently napping in their swing/bouncy seats. As time goes by we are beginning to struggle to see the difference between them!
It is very difficult looking after two all by myself but it is not as hard as I expected it to be as we've got them on the same sleep and feeding patterns, so at least I only have to get up twice in the night! I don't think I'd have been able to feel this positive without my perfect prep machine, electric steriliser, bouncy chairs, and my travel cot with a changing table on it!
OH is hit and miss when it comes to being helpful, although it's still early days really. Our Rainbow Twins born 17th April 2016

aww lulu can't believe they are a month old already time flies so quickly! you sound like you are doing amazingly well!
Baby has been quiet today, it was quieter than usual yesterday but quieter again today. Going to see if it does its usual "come to life" at night as it usually does otherwise I will be ringing triage.0 -
Ahh Lulu, that is lovely!
Sounds like you're settling into a nice little routine!
Moneypenny, mine was a bit quieter yesterday, but has decided to use my insides as a punching/kicking bag this afternoon. Feeling a bit bruised and battered over here! lol
Hopefully your little one will wake up this evening. If not, don't be afraid to call the midwife/midwife unit and have it checked out
I feel like this one is trying to force her way out already. Enough with the pressure!!! Please tell me this is just a one off, and it's not going to be like this from now until she arrives? Pleaseeeeeeeeeee lolFebruary wins: Theatre tickets0 -

I asked her and she said it has to be done by a doctor. She wasn't allowed to. To be honest, besides taking my BP and checking urine samples, my midwife does very little. I'm in and out in five minutes every time.Book a week challenge: 11/52. Competitions won in 2021: 120 -
I don't know why she'd say that crazy cat. Midwife took my bloods at 28 weeks, and would again if she suspected any underlying condition, such as iron deficiency.
Only time I contacted gp was for antibiotic script for uti and again for belly button infection.
Does she not also measure your bump and use Doppler to listen to the heartbeat? Mine does every time, and has gone over things like antenatal classes, breastfeeding etc at different stages.February wins: Theatre tickets0 -
Congrats Lemon tree on your little guy, wishing you all the best!
Flutterby it's nice to have someone else on same week as me, I've been slightly freaking out in my head about being 30 weeksI feel like I've got most things done/bought but I've a nagging feeling I've forgotten something..
Crazy cat - sorry you've such a crap midwife... Hopefully you'll get your bloods done soon.

She is lying.. lazy cow.. See why they pee me off?
With my last one the midwife took pity on my dead hips and came to my house and did the bloods at home!Pigpen I wouldn't have wished my SPD on my worst enemy, god knows how you're holding up, although I admit I went massively stir crazy once I finished work which probably didn't help me - can't imagine what I'd have been like with school runs and other children to run after! .
I can't even get in and out of bed without help now.. which was great when I was up for 3 wees last night.. My OH hates me!!! Sitting on the loo is agony.. but I have to get up and move every 15-30 minutes too otherwise my legs go dead and I can't move when I need too. The worst part is being unable to do anything for myself.. I want to wear trousers but I can't get them on... I wouldn't put my knickers on either if I thought I could get away with it! I havent had a shower for weeks.. I'm washed but it's not the same is it?
Glad things are going well for you.
Euro.. it continues like that until they drop out!! It's horrible! It is absolutely the worst bit!
I forgot to cancel that appointment.. I'll find the letter and put it on my lappy for morning.. I'm so scatty.LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -

Looks like I got a useless one. Never done anything like that. No. Won't arrange appointments for me, hasn't discussed anything with me really, apart from to say that Ramsbottom has a good ante natal class. No detail, just that most people go there. I contacted my GP for the whooping cough, flu jab and a few other things.
