Big hugs flutter x
Lulu, be careful with trying to leave annual leave before kit. We wouldn't allow you to do that as you'd have to end your maternity leave to go on annual leave and then kit days don't apply. You could do kit theme annual leave but not the other way around.
Sorry have missed a lot struggling here as having uvb three times a week for my psoriasis but I'm having to get up super early and it's making my skin itch so much in getting three hours sleep a night. Tried to have 3d scan this morning but baby not interested in showing face so just off for a uvb session and then heading back to try again!
Very happily married on 10th April 2013

Lulu - Glad they haven't been too bad. Your MIL does come out with some weird things though! She didn't birth them! lol
Flutter - Huge hugs, and sorry that today is a tough day. You feel what you feel, so just let it out if you need to x
Gelly - Huge hugs for you too. I hope you're appointment goes well, and isn't too emotionally difficult for you.
Toots - Enjoy your last day at work! Very jealous! After today, I have 7 working days left! Whoop! Whoop! I've spent 90% of this week training the lady who will be covering my work, as well as trying to keep up with current workload etc, and check someone else's work. I'm shattered!
Jtr, I hope the uvb treatment is working. DH has psoriasis on his elbows and it always improves massively during the sunny, summer months. He's started taking a Vitamin D3 supplement to help with it too. Have you tried that?
Got my 36 week appointment on Tuesday (I'll be 36+3) and I suspect I'll be sent for a scan as I am convinced this baby is still breech. C'est la vie.

I'm so tired I could sleep for a month.. if I could breathe, didnt need to pee and could get comfy... My feet are utterly gross.. I tried to explain to OH how they feel last night.. up to above my ankles has that burning sensation you get with an insect bite.. no itching just the tingly burning.
I've got loads of knitting done this week.. nothing else mind!LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
Oh flutter it's totally okay to feel the way you do. You have had such a terrible year so even though your pregnancy is a wonderful and happy event, there's still a lot of other things that have been thrown at you. I hope you and OH have a nice break off work together.
I was pregnant this time last year, my miscarriage was confirmed on 2nd June so I imagine I'll have similar feelings.
Euro you have no idea! Oh, I forgot to say that she bought OH a "Daddy" mug, but "they'd sold out of ones for Mum". I'm not bothered that I didn't get one (this woman didn't get me a Christmas present as I was pregnant, so I wasn't surprised, I imagine this is how it will be now), but I found it a bit weird, especially as Father's Day is in a few weeks. I'm expecting her to buy him a card and a present, which WILL irritate me as it is not for her to do that!
Although I have managed to train her a bit. We'll have a conversation about something baby related and I'll mention something that "someone I saw the other day" did or said that is similar to things she's said in the past that has irritated me, and she won't do or say it again! For example, people keep asking if I have one of each because I don't always dress them in pink, and MIL had laughed in my face when I said months ago that baby girls can wear other colours than pink. Our Rainbow Twins born 17th April 2016

I am sorry but just because you have children does not mean that you are no longer a person that can receive gifts! obviously priorities change and if you are anything like my friend then you won't really 'want' things anyway but that's not the point...
And yes it's not her place to do the fathers day thing....
Sorry, I've probably just wound you up even more but that's something that really bugs me!Became Mrs Scotland 16.01.16Became homeowners 26.02.16

Oh I know! I bought my SILs loads and put tons of effort in, they got me a Minions blanket, a box of chocolate fingers and some socks (bear in mind I'm 23 and these girls are 26 and 29!)
When OH gave me my presents from his sister he told me that his mum said I wasn't getting anything as I was pregnant (he doesn't see an issue with this even now, he says it's better for the money to go on the girls..) but they bought him a flying experience!:mad:
She will do the father's day thing, and I will call her out on it if she does. She came to my house unnanounced on Mother's day to drop me off a card she bought for me, which freaked me the hell out.
I'm also anticipating a backlash as OH and I have agreed that we will not be sending father's/mother's day cards to our parents from the girls, although I expect OH will U-Turn on this soon..Our Rainbow Twins born 17th April 2016

Crikey lulu! She makes my Mother look calm and reasonable (and she's not).
My Mother is guilty of doing similar things to my DH and I have to tactfully tell her not to/it's not appropriate etc etc. I feel so bad for him. I feel like I put out one fire with her, and she ignites another in it's place which is really hurtful to his feelings. I struggle to get her to see what she's doing though. Whilst I love my Mother, she can be very emotionally manipulative!
Oh, and ask for pink only for girls, why? If that is what someone wants to do, then fine, but jeez....there are other colours. I bought a gorgeous little yellow dress from Morrisons the other week, with Disney's Bambi on it. It's soooo cute! I really don't want to dress little one in pink only. There are so many colours out there, why would you want to be limited to just one?February wins: Theatre tickets0 -
Mine will be lucky if it wears anything other than sleepsuits until it is a year old.. I cant be bothered faffing with uncomfy clothes and stupid tiny fiddly buttons for them to upchuck (or worse!) of it!

Having a rare night out. I'm usually not in the mood to budge after work besides trips to the cinema. But a PR my husband knows put us on the guest list for a gig, so we've had a drive to Leeds.
I can guarantee I'll be the only one watching Manic street preachers while doing pelvic flood excersises!
