I have to out one foot on top of the other, bend my knees and roll.. it is absolute agony and makes me cry.. I don't turn over very often.. I very nearly dislocated my left hip about 4am getting 'comfy' after going to the loo.

I still can't breathe unless laid on my right side and drool like a demented !!!!! due to the constant nose bleeds and super-snot production making me stuffed up..

I need help to get into bed and sometimes to get out depending on how I am laid.

I havent any pain killers left, cant get a GP appointment and am just plain miserable now.. only 3-4 weeks left I guess.

OH sent his mother into a flap at the weekend.. he rang on Sunday and she thought he was ringing to say it had arrived... he had 4 calls in half am hour and for once wasnt attached to his phone as he was mincing the grass... hahaha..

  • Hi Ladies, hope you are all well and welcome think.

Oooh thanks for the tip flutter I am going to look into one of them, turning over is unbearable, the pain in my back and hips is horrendous now and I think I must be getting about 3-4 hrs sleep a night. I have got physio again on Weds (when I will be 37 weeks ) it normally eases after she has manipulated it a bit.

I am so glad I have finished work, if I hadn't I would have had to call in sick the past 3 days as I could barely move, today it seems to be more the groin and hip area. My bump is starting to look lower and I am getting period cramps with back ache so I am hoping it will all happen soon (wishful thinking hey)

Going to pick up the pram and car seat today, that's the final thing on the list yay.

Thank you for all the welcomes. And thank you for adding me to the list pigpen.

I'm just waiting for my 24week gp appointment. Then I'm going to walk round to the midwife centre and get my mat b1.

May have to look into one of those mats when I get bigger.

Currently have a list of things we need to get, have short lists for some things, but have not got any of the bigger items yet, I'm trying to put it off as long as possible!!

Think I've done that right and not messed it all up.

Never heard of that slide sheet. Had a pregnancy pillow bookmarked for a ages in case I need one so I'll add that to my bookmark list too. So far rolling over and sleeping isn't a problem. Had a few bad nights a month or two ago when she first started growing, but nothing since. So far gotten away with just a normal pillow stuck between my knees. Hoping it stays that way. My in case everything suddenly gets painful and evil bookmarks list is getting longer.

Thanks for that ccl. We need a new moses basket so will deffo have a look!

I've not really caught up. Sorry. I'm useless at reading on here from my phone. I'm finishing work from Wednesday so I'll be here more often :) if been booked in for yet another scan at 38+5. I can't go to the midwife led unit until after that. I cried for about 30min when I got home. I just want them to leave me alone. Got my own midwife tomorrow so I'm gonna have to talk to her.

Bamama.. I'd ask for a second opinion, will your usual MW speak up for you?.. you are within your rights to refuse to have further scans given baby has been declared fine and so long as there are no other issues there is no reason you cannot go to the MLU. I'd contact PALs.. they are bosom buddies with the staff but you have done everything they asked so far and they are just being silly now. However, you can't go to MLU until 37 weeks anyway usually. TBH, if things kick off before the appointment just go anyway.

You have a right to choose Article 8 of the European Cnvention (another reason to stay in the EU) states you have the right to choose where you give birth.. Tell them you want a home birth they will give you anything to get you to hospital ;)

    http://www.birthrights.org.uk/library/factsheets/Human-Rights-in-Maternity-Care.pdf

They cannot force you to do anything and if they do they are in breach of your human rights and subject to prosecution for battery and violation of Article 8 of the European Convention.. Go eat them!

Thank you pigpen. I'm hoping I'll find it easier to speak to the midwife tomorrow. If it happens to be "my" midwife (the one who's name is on everything) she will deffo help me sort them out. But I never know who it's going to be. Like you said, they are just being silly. How many scans does it take to realise someone c()cked up a measurement? I mean seriously. They even managed to calculate his estimated weight wrong. They converted 1123g and got 5lb5oz! This was weeks ago but it should be 2lb5oz. How did they not notice that?

they cant estimate weight accurately.. don't take any notice.. they told me my 3lb 10 son was 6lb.. goodness knows how! I've not even seen anyone since my booking in December.. I simply cannot be bothered with the crap they make up and scaremongering..

Apparently I am going to die in childbirth.. that was the latest threat, aftert threatening me with social services and after refusing to do my physio referral and various certificates.

Well, baby is still head up!

After all that poking around to check, her HR was high and my BP was raised again, so I was sent to sit in the waiting room with a glass of water for a while. When I came back, her HR was back to normal and so was my BP :)

Am now booked in for a presentation scan on Friday morning to confirm her position.

They obviously marked my weight down wrong at booking in appointment as well. They weighed me again today to check and concluded that I had only gained 4kg!! Hahahahahaha, I wish! I am at the 23lbs mark, which is actually more like 10.5kg, lol. Whatever. Either way, I'm still within the recommended guidelines so that's good.

Bamama - Big hugs for you!
