Hey ladies, hope everything is well!

I'm just back from midwife, have to go up to hospital at 2pm as having reduced movements again. Been awake since 4am and she's hardly moved so midwife said she'd rather I got checked out! Also measuring huge so being sent for a growth scan. She said I had a contraction whilst she was feeling my tummy but I didn't feel a thing. Hopefully labour is like that :rotfl: wishful thinking...

Toots - hope all is ok x

Me and OH have been away for a couple of nights, not to far but far enough to feel like a break. We stayed in a nice country hotel, only disappointment was that they jacuzzi and steam room weren't working. I know pregnant woman shouldn't use them but I only wanted a 5 minute go! We did quite a bit of walking round quaint towns so I was shattered but it was lovely to spend time with just OH.

We still have the rest of the week off, so as well as car shopping, we need to put the nursery furniture together and put up wall stickers. I have also booked a pedicure for tomorrow :)

Oh, does anyone have any experience of a referral to a BMI specialist midwife?

My preference is to give birth in the MLU but they only accept you if your BMI is under 30 (I wish!!). However my MW looked into it and has referred me to the BMI specialist MW at the MLU who apparently had the power to override the BMI of 30 rule. I am meeting her next week, but have no idea what this entails.

I am overweight, BMI 39. Up until week 28 I had only put on 8lbs, not weighed since (am 31 weeks now). Just wondering what to expect as my MW didn't know anymore.

Moneypenny - I have no idea how I've only put that on, I was expecting to put on much more! I've had a few days where I've not felt like eating much, but plenty more where I've eaten everything in sight!

I seem to have been on and off the list so many times! I can't copy and paste the format on my phone can someone please add me, 13th August with little girl.

Flutter our mlu is 35 cut off for a first time mum but 38.8 for a second time mum, very weird! This whole bmi thing is such a crock of crap anyway, mine was 35 at booking in and at least weigh I'd put on about 8lb I think. Glad you enjoyed your break.

Euro, I hope your little lady changes her position soon!

Hope everything by is OK toots and enjoy your early night money :rotfl:

Had run in with diabetic clinic last week because I've declined gtt, met my new midwife this week who was completely on board with my decline, she's not a follow the advice blindly style person which is great. We've booked our hypnobirthing course now and I've got my birthing ball and yoga mat. 11.5 weeks to go!

Very happily married on 10th April 2013 :D

Jtr - it is silly isn't it? A BMI of 30 isn't exactly large. To date I've had no complications so I hope I can go there, it's brand new and has double beds so OH can stay with me if I want.
