    Congrats Khal - lovely name.
I failed at my previous 2 attempts at breastfeeding but I have bought a book called Bestfeeding in an attempt to give me a bit of understanding on getting a proper latch as I'm struggling to find a lactation consultant in my area and the midwifes I've seen so far (not seen the same one twice yet!) all seem really disinterested when I've asked when I can get info from.

For a few weeks I had pain when walking all on the underside of my bump and I just put it down to stretching. But, over the last few days it hurts to sneeze and cough and just above my pubic area is tender to the touch. I'm not sure what it is. It doesn't feel like SPD when I had that with my last pregnancy (albeit 11 years ago) could it just be stretching pains?

I'm so tired today still have 46 more working days to go before my mat leave :(

Everything fine today with midwife. Blood pressure normal, urine normal. Had my blood taken to see if iron tablets doing their job. FH is 37 cm so a week ahead. Baby head down too.

Baby stays on the right here. Pushes what I am presuming is her bum right up onto my ribs.

    Go back in 2 weeks.

Midwife loved my birth plan as I literally have no expectations and happy to go with the flow, although water birth preferred.

:rotfl:Glad I'm not the only one constantly shoving food in my gob! Hope the antibiotics work soon.

Khal - congrats :D lovely name. Don't beat yourself up about breastfeeding, if it happens great, if not then as long as baby is fed that's all that matters. Maybe have a look and see if there is a breastfeeding group locally to you?

becca - hope you and baby are ok, rest up.

I have taken the day off today, didn't think I could make it through the week working everyday!! I am having a very lazy day :D had to take OH to drop his car off at garage this morning, but other than that all I have planned is catching up on tv, reading magazines and my kindle and being entertained/shunned by the cats. Me and OH had a lovely impromptu date night last night, went out for tapas and just enjoyed each other's company.

Khal - has she's been checked for tongue tie?

In my opinion bf hurts for three weeks if you can get past that you are doing well.

As for me, doc finally called at 4.50pm yesterday and has prescribed a course of antibiotics for my belly button. When I picked them up, the pharmacist made a point of telling me that they HAD to be taken on an empty stomach or an hour before food. I'm like 'what's an empty stomach?? Do people really wait an hour between meals??!!' lol. So, that's going to be quite tricky to manage, but whatever clears up the infection I suppose.

Haha brilliant, thank god it's not just me stuffing my face at every opportunity (seriously half the time I'm not even sure I'm hungry) hope the infection clears up soon, that's the last thing you need on top of all these other lovely symptoms.

I managed to film the little man doing the same thing the other night he was swishing all over the place, does make me laugh but so uncomfortable (he is actually doing it now as I am typing... sure it's when I'm not giving him attention)

Hope you manage to get some help with BF khal, I know most women look forward to it but I am actually dreading it, I'm going to try for the health benefits but figure if it doesn't work it doesn't work, I won't beat myself up about it. Me and my brother weren't breastfed and we were fine.

Euro - I ended up missing loads of antibiotic doses of DC1 and couldn't complete the course in 7 days (can't keep in fridge after that) due to "must take on empty stomach" - when I went back for the extra dose the doctor basically said, "just get 'em down her whenever you can". I don't think they are quite as effective but better than missing doses. I agree though, what is an empty stomach?! middle of the night perhaps!!

DH suggested I take one as soon as I get up, and then wait an hour before having breakfast! My reaction was 'Don't be stupid. I'll starve and/or faint!'. He just laughed at me! Lol

I opted for an hour after breakfast instead, an hour before lunch, an hour before leaving work and I'll take one before bed too. That should cover me.....if I can resist snacking! Haha

My feet are so swollen I feel they might pop! My offsprung and OH said they are gross.. not nice of them, but they really are!! lol.. I have shoe imprints from yesterday! My ankle bones don't exist.

My ears keep going really red and hot.. apparently it is a known medical condition not related to pregnancy, I'm just a freak!! lol.

I've knitted a pram blanket today.. it needs ribbon but it is lovely.

Dentist tomorrow... IF!!! I can walk there, which is unlikely.. I need a temporary filling replacing otherwise I'd not go.. I'm not even sure I'm allowed free treatment at the moment.. I just got the form through from the MW today to send off for the exemption certificate but I'm not sure I'm allowed it..

    Morning all

I feel so much better for having the day off yesterday and doing very little :D. The last 4 nights I've slept better too, woken twice for the loo and to open the window cos I was too hot but gone back to sleep with no problems.

OH's car is pretty much dead so we need to go car shopping asap. He needs a car for work as he is out and about (he is a social worker), I need a car to get to work as it's 25 miles away but then it just sits there all day long. Luckily I've managed to car share with a colleague today and she is happy to give me a lift this week and next week. Me and OH are both off the week after that so we will go car shopping and make sure we have a new one for him by the end of that week. I don't want to rush into it and get another dummy car!

I have a slight problem with taking my iron tablets correctly. I'm on 3 a day, so logically it would be morning, afternoon and night. But due to the fact that I work in a prison I'm not allowed to bring any prescribed medication into the premises (unless it's for a life threatening condition, and then they have to be locked in healthcare and issued by nurse). I was bringing one to take at lunch when I went out of the building but can't do that without a car as have nowhere to leave them. Am I ok taking one at 7am, then next at 6pm then 10pm?

I doubt it makes a huge amount of difference when you take them so long as you avoid food with them.

My feet are still porky this morning.. and the inhabitant thinkings it is joining the cast of Liverdance.. its hearing is a bit muffled I think lol.. that or it is going to be a footballer.. using my bladder to practice its headers! .. it's not even funny, I nearly wet the bed this morning as I can't get up quick enough!
