Hi all!
Hope you're all well. All good here. Tired, but good.
Had pay review at work - 8% increase!!! I was a bit dumbfounded! So, no longer eligible for child tax credits, but that's OK as it's balanced out by increase in pay. Happy days!

Hey euro- that pay increase is fab, mine has been frozen for the last 3 years (damn police service) but should be getting my rise in August, I don't think this year is a huge pay rise but next year should be a big one. 8% is great though!!
This is the bag we bought http://www.johnlewis.com/pacapod-napier-changing-bag-black-charcoal/p230742062 they are expensive but hopefully we will have more children after this little guy so I plan on getting a lot of use out of it.
Had physio this morning, she noticed that the muscles in the left hand side of my back are really tense so she manipulated them a bit and it already feels a little better...hopefully it is on the mend!!Married 1st October 2015:heartpuls
1st Baby due June 2016 :happylove0 -
I've been very lucky over the last few years with regards to pay, but that is because I changed careers and started doing exams etc to become qualified in my field. So I started off pretty low, but have jumped up quite quickly. Still, I didn't get one last year as I had only just joined the firm then. Since then we had an admin member who was just god awful (ended up getting sacked), and I was effectively doing 2 jobs for about 6 months. Plus I've passed some more exams, so it reflects those things.
Difference between private and public sector as well, sadly. I hope you guys get something good soon. Wholly underappreciated.
OMG! That bag looks lush!Very nice!!
I'm glad the physio is helping tooFebruary wins: Theatre tickets0 -
We'll done on the payrise, as said previously you certainly don't get anything like that in the public sector, in fact because of, 'job evaluation', I'll soon be getting a massive drop despite doing what used to be a higher graded job. I'd certainly get more out in the private sector for what I do with my qualifications.0

Congrats on the payrise Euro. I've been lucky to have a couple of small ones in the past 15mths due to length of time having qualifications and two 1.5% payrises. All counts
Really wish I hadn't looked at a Pacapod link skint!!! I want one now!
Cot bed has been delivered, but to a neighbour as we were out. It's too heavy for me to fetch on my own and OH is out til late so we will have to get it from there tomorrow night.* Rainbow baby boy born 9th August 2016 *

Lemon - I am taking a suitcase this time
I ended up taking about 5 large bags last time and it drove me crackers so I'm letting people judge me when I roll up with a suitcase and not caring!
They are going to love me I'm sure!!

I've got 2 small wheelie cases.. one with my stuff and one with the beasties stuff... they are both within the limits for cabin hand luggage for a plane to give an idea of size.
My bag has my stuff.. and one sleepsuit and blanket etc for the small and 2 nappies... the other has extra sleepsuits and blankets for the baby.
I will take one bag in with me then have OH bring the other one later .. when leaving he will take both bags and extra gubbins to the car then come back for the baby.
Money.. the love for me means they have left me alone since my booking visit.. though I did get an appointment syaing 'now you're 28 weeks we want to recheck Hb' ... the amusing part is I am actually 31 weeks.. and we lal know I am anaemic but I cannot take iron tablets and they won't give me anything else so what is the point?? Why check the levels if they aren't going to allow me to have a treatment I can tolerate? ... so I cancelled that..LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
Oh my god I feel so full, but haven't eaten since breakfast. Baby must have moved up towards my ribs I think. I really need to burp but am scared I'll either be sick or burp the baby out :rotfl:. Felt like this last night for couple hours too.
Also really annoyed with Hermes parcel people. My Aldi delivery was sent in 3 batches. We haven't been home for the deliveries. One they delivered to a neighbour, 2nd one they left behind my side gate (I'm happy with this as it's quiet area) but the third is 'too large' to deliver! Why can't that be left behind the gate like the 2nd?! It's only a set of plastic drawers.* Rainbow baby boy born 9th August 2016 *

Flutterby I can guarantee you won't burp out the baby, that's the stuff dreams are made of as you get closer to the end lol.0

Thanks ladies. I think part of the reason behind the payrise is because they haven't been able to recruit maternity cover (it's the area - they'd have no problem in London), so I think it's more of an incentive to come back, IYSWIM.
Haha, burp the baby out. I think you're safe
Speaking of weird dreams, I dreamt that I was sleeping, and woke up in the middle of the night and I was giving birth. Like, literally, baby was half way out already. So I was shouting and screaming for DH to call an ambulance and panicking that baby was too early to be born etc. She was fine in the end and so I started breastfeeding, on the right boob. I then decided I'd better 'keep things even' by switching to lefty (God knows why!). Little one suckled for a few moments and then looked up at me and said 'I don't like this one Mummy, it tastes different.'!!! hahahahaha
So weird!
The muscles in the tops of my legs, particularly above my knees, are really sore today. Like I've overworked them, or pulled a muscle, but I've done neither. Weird!!February wins: Theatre tickets0
