We found we had to end up gluing some of our decals down because they kept peeling off the wall. I'm annoyed now as they would have looked good in the bedroom we're moving our toddler into. I would suggest if they're rolled up, roll them the other way to straighten them out a bit before you try and stick them up, and make sure the room is warm as I think cold walls don't help.

We've finally got our stuff out of the loft so I can start to relax, only thing is so far I haven't found the moses basket, pram sheets, ah well I'll just use pillow cases if necessary like they do in hospital

Even though we own our house I am still looking at decals. Hubby has repainted the room so it is now a cream colour as opposed to bright white, we initially wanted wall paper on one wall but couldn't find any we liked so instead just bought a few blue things to put on the wall. Plus if we have another baby (fingers crossed) they would go in this room and can't bear the thought of having to redecorate it all again if it was a girl. So decals are def the way to go for us.

We're using decals too have seen a few nice ones but have yet to choose. When I did the boys bedroom at Easter they wanted their room grey and picked out some New York skyline decals and quotes, they came flat but still had been bent in the post, I just laid them flat under a few books overnight and they've stuck fine. There was one on the radiator wall which has curled slightly through the heat so we've stuck that with a little glue.

I have wasted a good few hours on pintrest browsing nursery decals and decor, even though we know the sex we're still keeping it neutral with greys, whites & silver. Not on the high street have some lovely decals.

Tata: we went with the bugaboo chameleon in Classic Navy in the end, not very MSE but it's what we want. We had originally picked the Joolz day.

I plan to spend the rest of the day looking at decals on internet :)

We went to an NCT nearly new sale today, complete waste of time (and the £2 entrance fee for us both!). It may have been good if we knew the sex, but there was nothing unisex at all, and most of the clothes and toys were for older children. Shame cos I'd heard good things about them.

New kitten is settling in well, no name yet. Kids want to name it (better they name the kitten rather than the baby :rotfl:). She spent most of yesterday hiding under the sofa, but today has come out for cuddles and food. Our other cat is aware of something but keeping them apart for a few days. Oh and Tata, yep OH is on litterbox duties already so he'll keep doing it.

My sister came over and we have all of my daughters clothes sorted into a few bags, but I know there's still some up in the loft. We have a great sack of neutral stuff to wash through and sorting into sizes ready for baby.

I also finished his crochet blanket last night, got to find the white cardi which I started whilst I was being induced with my daughter and use the yarn to knit the baby a coming home one. Last time my mum knitting tonnes of cardi's but she's not done anything this time so I'll give the pink, peachy stuff to a friend and reuse the rest, it's just that's one of the missing bags grr!

Why on earth would a midwife suggest a sweep at 37 weeks? That actually sounds downright irresponsible. Term is 37-42 weeks but if your dates are out you could end up in premature labour and all sorts. Honestly, this country and it's obsession with due date makes me so fricking mad, it's a guess! Babies don't run to an NHS timetable, they come when ready and unless medically needed, why the massive rush to force them out?

If they think I'll be having a sweep, a VE or am induction then they will soon learn otherwise!

you mean like mine when they moved my dates by nearly 2 weeks to a date which is simply not possible and they want to force eviction at 37 weeks which will actually by closer to 35.. Good job they are ok to be out at 35 weeks I guess.. 34 they usually need a couple of days in SCBU.

OH is 6ft 4.. its not a little tiny pipsqueak of a baby.. a couple of mm out at the dating scan can make a massive difference. With one of mine the sonographer measured her about 4 times to get the biggest measurement possible.

Hope you are all well today ladies.

After being sick and having a horrible headache on Friday morning as well as hardly any movement I went a long to the hospital. All okay, baby must have just been having a lazy day but they put me on a monitor for an hour which helped reassure me. She has been moving loads since.

Nearly finished decorating the nursery, just need to lift the laminate flooring and carpet. I also finished packing my hospital bag at the weekend. Haven't started babies one yet.

I've officially started maternity leave, and have also started operation get the house sorted and all the washing upto date.

Almost finished baby's stuff in the hospital bag, barely anything of mine in there as I'm short on clothing so can't do it too soon but I'll tackle it after tomorrow when hopefully I'll get an induction date.

Glad you're feeling better Toots, and that baby is OK :)

Wahoo about maternity leave Lemon! :)

Baby's bag is done. My bag is almost finished, just a few last minute bits to be added to it. I got some flip flops at the weekend to add in there. Still had a voucher with £6 on it for Next, so got some from there, in their clearance sale, at zero cost to me :)
