    33 weeks today!

I had a dream last night that my mum kidnapped my 1 day old baby and I had to phone the police on her. My dreams are mental!

Ha Toots, I go through phases of the weird dreams, not had them for couple weeks.

Quite excited as my Aldi online baby event order has been delivered according to my emails :D. I've decided to take a half day today cos I'm knackered and bored in work as there is so little work to do. So I can look at my goodies when I get home (courier left them with neighbour). I'm also going to pop to Aldi too to see what other stuff they have that you couldn't buy online. Then I'm going to go home, and put my feet up for couple hours of R&R.

Hips not as sore today, and got a parking space this morning but that was because I made sure I was in early enough.

Mmmm, lemonade! I started fancying that yesterday! What shop was it from?

Heron Frozen foods.. OH went in for milk and bought me lemonade ..

I think I may have a problem.. bear in mind I drink tea and nothing else, ever.. I've had 3 glasses of water one after the other while the kettle boiled (I don't think I have drank tap water in the last 20 years!!) half a bottle of lemonade which I usually leave to go flat.. I drank it fizzy! and 2 pint mugs of tea.. in the last 3 hours.. this is so out of character it is concerning.. I best keep an eye on the kidney function... hhmmm.. I forgot about that.

I need to gather my cash into one bank account so I can pay off the pushchair.. Ebeast is my friend!! :p

Pigpen, I'm drinking like crazy but ATM it's 30 degrees here so I'm assuming that's why.

My friends are going to organize an afternoon tea for me before baby comes as I turned down a baby shower - me and hubby have majority of stuff for baby and it seems a bit grabby? I said if they would like to buy something small like outfit/wipes/nappies they would be gratefully received though so I hope that's okay.

Heading out for a Chinese tonight and I'm designated driver - don't mind as it'll be nice to return the favour for some really food friends of ours as they usually organize everything!

Oh Flutterby, I am jealous of your Aldi haul! I've got my mum on lookout ;)

  • Pig- I also have an unhealthy obsession with Lemonade at the moment, only this last couple of months have I craved it.

Went to drs this morning just to extend my sick note, back in work on Weds now, spoke to her about the carpel tunnel syndrome and she told me to just take paracetamol and wear the wrist splint I bought one the day you recommended it pig, it does seem to work a little bit (in that the pain isn't actually waking me up) but it is still agony... shock horror I have to grin and bear it until baby is here.

My bestie has organised my baby shower (I think) it is supposed to be a surprise but i have figured it out as she kept telling me to keep 30th April free. I just put a bit of pressure on my mum and her face gave the game away.

I think my little monkey has lodged herself under my left ribs today! Not very comfy. Oh well.

Having a bit of another financial overhaul, seeing what we can save/reclaim/sell etc.

DH had a letter about the AI scheme compensation that we forgot to complete and return. Deadline was last month. Still going to try and see what they say.

Also going to change bank accounts. We've been with Santander, which was great when we had savings before our wedding and the move etc. Now, with the monthly fee hike, we earning less than we're paying out for the account. Halifax seems like a good deal for us - £100 for switching and £5 per month fee (we wouldn't earn anymore than that with any of the interest bearing accounts).

Selling I'll have to look at home.

Oh, and I think I've still got credit on my Oyster card that I no longer use. Time to get that back.

Hope you're all well. And hugs for those who need them!

    xx

Have you ladies seen the bit in Martin's weekly newsletter about claiming tax credits (including child tax credits)?

Whilst it baby is not here yet, and I believe you can't apply for child benefit until they are born, according to Martin's article you CAN apply for the child tax credit in advance.

It might not be applicable to many people (if any), but having done the calculator it will be applicable for us (as DH will be staying at home), and the cut off for our area before the Universal Credit system comes in is May.

I also understand that, if you are going to be a stay at home parent, it's best that you apply for child benefit (or vice versa if DH/OH is SAHP) as you will then get your NI stamp each week also.

Like I said, might not apply, or you already know, but thought I'd mention it just in case :)

Had a nice chilled afternoon off. Went to Aldi to get the bits I couldn't get online, got more blankets and muslins plus a giraffe pattern change mat. They have some fab stuff! It was chocka with pregnant ladies and ladies with pushchairs :rotfl:

Came home, ate lunch, watched trashy tv and read a magazine then had a nap for an hour :D.

And OH had some good news today, he is on a 6mth rolling temp contract at work (has been for 18mths) and today, after interviewing yesterday, has been offered a 12 month rolling contract and he will be offered the next permanent post when it comes up :j yay!

Today was my last day at work. And what a day - had stomach cramps and the runs all day, just what you need, not!
    Flutterby that's great news
