The new version of the Uppababy Vista released last year can have 2 full size seats on the frame Pigpen - we have the 2012 Vista and it's still pristine after 3 years of use, plus the frame is so sturdy and it's very high, good for me and DH as we're tall, but MIL is tiny and had no issues once the handle was on lowest setting.

Have you got the 2nd seat for it? We have the same Vista and decided to go for the buggy board because DC1 (who will be 3.5 when DC2 is born) is a terrible walker. I'm still wondering if the second seat would have been better!

EDIT: I kept reading the thread and saw you had also got the buggy board! :D

EDIT2: Pigpen would a cheaper pram for newborn plus a universal buggy board be an option?

We looked at the rumbleseat which clips into the basket Moneypenny, but as DD is nearly 3.5 we decided that we wouldn't get enough use from it to make it worth the £100 price tag. She's nearly too tall for the regular seat anyway. We stopped using the pushchair in January so she's had a break from it being "hers" before we use it with the carrycot for the baby. The piggyback board looks really good, fits so nicely on the frame :)

Pigpen pushing a 4year old for 3 school runs a day is no easy task for anyone!! Especially pregnant with health problems. Would she manage the walk?
    .

She could manage one of the walks but 3 would be too much.. she starts nursery in September so would be tired from that too..

I am too dippy to use a buggy board.. its not even funny.. I had one for the older ones.. I ripped my big toe nail off, more than once.. inside my trainers and I had permanent bruises from kicking it.. I'm quite special! haha My now 17 y/o used to fall of it every time we went over a bump.. he too is special!

I have considered one of the seat ones.. I need to see one though.. they are a lot of money if they won't fix to the pushchair.

I've got the M&P Pliko which is great but on child number 7 or 8 is starting to get a bit tired so I need to replace that.. the wheels are wobbly and squeaky and the recline mechanism is jamming. I may just have to battle with the bertini until she can manage the walk and get a different one for the baby then. I'll attempt to have a grown up conversation with OH about it later.. if he bothers coming in the room with me at any point.

  • Good luck Sweet, I have my fingers firmly crossed that everything will start moving soon.. you have defitnatly made it comfortable in there for your baby!

I went to visit my friend today who had her little boy last month, he made me feel so broody! As he fell asleep on me, my little boy decided to kick out at him and woke him up, they are fighting already :rotfl: my friend gave me quite a few baby gros that her little one has grown out of already (newborn size) so I will pack these in my hospital bag (when I get round to it).

4d scan booked in for tomorrow morning I'm so excited, I can't wait to see him again :o

Last day at work tomorrow, not sure how to feel about it. I'm excited to finally go on maternity leave but at the same time I weirdly enjoy going into work

I know what you mean Koberts, I was so pleased not to be working just didn't want to be missing out. It's not really sunk in yet because I keep in touch with some of the girls I work with so still know what's going on...I just don't have to deal with it!! Enjoy your relaxing time before baby arrives.

Thanks skinbuthappy81! Good luck with your scan, they look amazing. I didn't ever have one but it was very tempting! I totally get being so broody, everytime I see a baby I just think thank goodness I'm pregnant otherwise I'd be sad about not having a child!!

This is my 4th day on the induction ward...last one here, again!! Was told last night they were certain they'd be able to break my waters this morning so I was so happy but then the midwife told me to fast and gave me a sympathetic talk about if it doesn't happen. It better!! Fingers crossed today is the day. Just waiting on the doctor.
