Good luck for today Sweet!
Congratulations me-charlotte! Wonderful news!
Hope the BP is better now Moog.
RE: movements, my midwife said not to focus on actually counting movements, as even with one they could kick 10 times in an hour then not move for 23 hours. She said it's very unreliable and that you will notice a pattern of movement, regardless of how many actual kicks there are.
Baby shower was yesterday and it was quite successful. SIL decided to show up with a stomach bug (just what pregnant ladies and young children need to be exposed to!) and MIL was up to usual tricks but luckily she got hardly any attention. One of my friends was amazing at dropping in key things I needed MIL to know. For example visitors at home. My friend was saying about how she told her mum to leave after a while when she'd had her daughter and her mum was so understanding. My mum was sitting there loudly agreeing and saying things about the new parents needing space and respect. I didn't see this but apparently MIL had the grumpiest look on her face during that conversation, so I'm sure I'll have that battle to face when the time comes (bring it on, I'm so horrible when I'm tired so I don't think it'll be difficult for me to muster a few choice words when needed!)Our Rainbow Twins born 17th April 2016

Sounds like it couldn't have gone better! Sometimes they just need it spelt out to them.
Littlemoog hope everything is ok with your BP. How was the trial run with your water bath?
I'm just sitting in the sunshine at the hospital hoping for the best with the first pessary, at least it's a nice day for a long wait. The hospital do expect visitors gone by 9pm so hoping I'll at least have a bit of progress by then. Can see OH protesting otherwise.0 -
Good luck Sweet.
Congratulations me-charlotte! Hope you are both well.
Lulu sounds like baby shower went well and hopefully hearing it from other people means MIL might have listened!
Cleared the spare room out this weekend and finished stripping the wallpaper. Now need to get someone in to skim the walls as they are not in the best condition. DH has until 15th April anyway as that is when nursery furniture comes.0 -
School run #1 done... I think I might die doing the second one later today.. my hips are so broken I even considered digging out the crutches.. I will not give in.. I am stronger than this...
The straps and seat for the big pushchair have disappeared into the abyss that is my house.. so it looks like I have no choice but to buy a new pram too..LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
Fingers crossed sweetie!
Lulu, the baby shower sounds fab! Fingers crossed your MIL has taken the hint!
Toots - hope you get the walls skimmed before 15th April.
We're still going through stuff in the garage etc. More stuff sold and posted, some stuff given to MIL to pass onto BIL (some old towels for his new dog), and more added to the Boot Sale pile. STILL more to do! I'm convinced it's breeding in the garage!
Pigpen, sorry to hear your hips are so painful. Might be best to just use the crutches already. Trying to soldier on can sometimes do more harm than good. Take care of yourself. Shame about the pram too. Can you look at a 2nd hand one if money is tight?
AFM - I'm just super tired today. Can't seem to find my energy. So, I had McDonald's for lunch. Cos that'll help! LOLFebruary wins: Theatre tickets0 -
I looked at second hand.. but they are still well over £300 and dont have a warranty.. I have a bt of shopping around time still so I will take advantage of that

pigpen I assume you need a very specific kind of pushchair? I struggled to find one that ticked all of my boxes, but luckily for me I could opt for something cheaper as a "make do". I ended up spending £860 on my Mountain Buggy, but it makes me feel better when I see people I know with only one baby saying how their pram was £750+!
Yes I hope MIL has gotten the hint too. She just says some of the weirdest things. Like she was going on and on about how amazing SIL is, and said nothing nice about or to me at all! I think she just likes the attention being on her side of the family. Our Rainbow Twins born 17th April 2016

Short of it is. Had a show on tuesday morning went to work and had a normal day. Went into natural labour midnight wednesday. 6.30am and 1.5cm. 10.40ish am 5cm. 12.06 i had my baby girl in my arms.
Violet was born at 38 +6 weighing 6lb2.
Labour was fast and hard though have been told it went perfectly. I now feel great, better than i have in weeks. I dont feel like i have anything to recover from.
Good luck to everyone waiting for or past their due dates x
Congratulations me-charlotte, glad to hear all went well x0
