sweet.. it can take a few days for an induction to work.. I'd hold off telling them until you are actually in labour, or had baby.. can you handle 4 days of people messaging you naagging if anything is happening yet?LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0

Sweet, good luck, I was induced with my daughter and it wasn't horrific. It did take two days though.0

Thanks everyone! I realise it can be a long wait, will avoid letting everyone know for as long as possible, don't think there is reception in the hospital, just wifi so that will help. Think my MIL and Mum might start guessing early on when they see my car is away and OH isn't in work (small place) but will keep quiet without lying as long as we can. Also if it's more than 1 night I'll need to ask someone to see to the cat. I know they would both panic and call or even worse turn up so will try to avoid that, OH will stand his ground and tell them to back off though. If they could keep chilled out I wouldn't mind them knowing but I know that won't happen! I think because it's my actual due date as well people are more likely to be texting/calling anyway. Just hope all goes well it is so scary. Can't wait to meet baby and find out if I've been growing a boy or girl all this time!0

Good luck sweetilemon as the others say it can take a few days sometimes so be prepared to be fed up and if it goes fast then that's a bonus. Either way you'll have a baby very soon! Good luck0

Sweet, when nothing kicked off the first day, hubby was sent home at 9pm because ' visiting' was over. If I had started in proper labour he could have stayed. So your cat may be OK 0

they kick out at 9pm here too.. partners are only 'allowed' to be there 9-9 .. so I went home too.. I'm just unable to do as I am told!

Ive just written a huge birth story and lost it!!!!!
Short of it is. Had a show on tuesday morning went to work and had a normal day. Went into natural labour midnight wednesday. 6.30am and 1.5cm. 10.40ish am 5cm. 12.06 i had my baby girl in my arms.
Violet was born at 38 +6 weighing 6lb2.
Labour was fast and hard though have been told it went perfectly. I now feel great, better than i have in weeks. I dont feel like i have anything to recover from.
Good luck to everyone waiting for or past their due dates xhi0 -

Congratulations me-charlotte!
Happy due date Sweetilemon, good luck for today, hope your induction goes smoothly.
No niggles here, but with a previous very late baby I'm not expecting any action for a few days yet! Still having BP issues, going in for monitoring every couple of days to keep an eye on it now, but no other symptoms so they don't seem too concerned.Little monkey born November 2012:jFroglet due March 20160
