Hi everyone.
Just found this thread and thought i'd join. I am just at 12 weeks..so hopefully the nausea will be going away soon.
Had our booking in and first scan at the hospital and the little wriggler was waving, wouldn't stay still for a decent scan photo!
This is my first, so it'll all new and scary to me. Hoping reading these pages will help ease some worries and let me see all isn't so scary.Book a week challenge: 11/52. Competitions won in 2021: 120 -
Congrats Saffa! Sounds like you had a lovely experience.
We've had our 20 week scan and... it's another boy! Who is now properly booting me in the gut and making me look enormous.
If someone wouldn't mind adding us to the list? I don't seem to be able to quote while on my phone and can't copy for the life of me XD0 -
Hi crazy-cat-lady and Bamama.
Congratulations Bamama, at least it will help you prepare knowing it's a little boy. I absolutely love feeling kicks although by now it's more a roll than kick...run out of room!
Crazy-cat-lady sounds like a lovely scan. It's an amazing feeling seeing them on the screen!!
You are both very welcome here, just to let you know there is a thread for under 12 weeks and one for 12-24 weeks which is full of other girls at the same stage. I know this has helped me with advice throughout the different stages. It means when I 'graduated' to this thread I've moved with the girls at the same stage. I am in no way saying don't post here, just thought it might be helpful :-)0 -
I've had a letter through for an appointment with the health visitor next week, does anyone know what they will do? I can't remember from the last time but it says it will take about an hour.
they talk a load of common sense rubbish, try to force you to go to baby groups, witter about vaccinations in their biased opinion and give you the childs record book thing.. I never bothered, they just bring the book at the 10 day visit.
Unless you're really bored, I'd give it a miss.But I'm an anarchist.

Hey everyone
Thought i should put myself on this list. I am actually 28 weeks and due date is 10th may, although i have gestational diabetes so they have told me the baby will come earlier. Getting quite nervous now although have really enjoyed carrying the little one. Kicks are now getting stronger and more frequent which still amazes me. Some nights i just sit there watching my belly as the little one punches and kicks me lol. Anyway do i just copy the list and add myself to the bottom. Btw the hospital bag list is a life saver, being a ftm i was stuck and was searching the net for a list.0 -

Thanks. I will keep the appointment with the health visitor as it will be good to know what's in the area, I've moved since having my son and am in the middle of no where really. I have the day off work too using up some holiday0

No worries...Didn't want you to feel unwelcome I just know it's easier to relate to the girls at the same stage! Always welcome to post here though.0
