Rampant Recycler I've been Money Tipped!
    Good Luck Saffa!

OH rang me today and they've let him go at work :( so at the moment it's just my wage coming in so I'm a bit stressed. Luckily he hates being at home in the day so he's trying so hard to find something else.

To make it worse a guy at work comes over and starts a really personal conversation about breastfeeding, right in front of my boss! I was so uncomfortable!!

Oh no lulu that's terrible news at a hard time. Hope he finds a new job!!
  • Thank you ladies

After an exciting start to the day, slipping over on the ice grazing both my knees whilst getting in the car this morning, which caused the anaesthetist great concern!

Our beautiful son, EJ was born at 11:01 this morning weighing in at just 3.29kg (7lbs4). He's tiny in comparison to DD but she came at 41weeks and he's arrived at 39.

My planned section was definitely the right decision for me, it was a fantastic calm and relaxed experience. Walked down to theatre, enjoyed music during the operation, saw E being lifted out and had immediate skin to skin with him.

He was taken and weighed/ checked over and then after cuddles with daddy came for more skin to skin whilst I was stitched up. Moved into recovery where E latched on and stayed latched until I was back on the ward. He's been so content since, feeding regularly and napping too.

DD came in and met him, she was so lovely with him and gentle with me. Although she went willingly with OH, she was upset to be leaving mommy and E behind. OH says she was OK once home though I haven't heard how bedtime went.

I got up after 6hrs once DD had left, didn't want her to be upset by seeing any blood/me attached to the catheter and though slow, managed on my own without any pain.

My little family is complete and my heart is full.

Lulu, that's awful re your OH. Hope that something comes up

Hope everyone else is OK xx

    Congratulations saffa.
  • Congrats Saffa.

Not sure if any of you ladies would still be looking for maternity wear, but I just posted this on the 12-24 board:

If anyone is looking for maternity wear check out Dorothy Perkins. There is 25% off currently, free delivery and a code for £10 off a £40 spend (HISTORE10)!! They go up to a size 22.

I just bought jeans, bump band and a top for £32.

Thanks for this, i've had a couple of DP tops from their maternity range and they are great. Think I'm a bit late, most are sold out. I've just bought 2 new pairs of maternity jeans, so annoying so late on in pregnancy but the ones I bought at the start are falling apart and I am uncomfortable enough without good clothes.

Been using my birthing ball today as I've started getting sudden pain when walking then it goes away. Not sure if this is babies head engaging? Glad I've only got a few days of work left because walking around tesco was a struggle nevermind on my feet for 7hrs at work!
