I'm glad you've finally got a date Saffagal enjoy the last week before the newborn madness ;)

Me-charlotte, I think 34 weeks is too soon to worry about baby's position really. My baby still turns from side to side multiple times a day. If scan confirms baby is currently back to back though, there are things you can do to help them turn to a more optimal position - check out spinningbabies.com, and also try not to sot slouched back but upright or leanimg forward, swimming and time on hands and knees will also help them turn (gravity pulls their back which is heavier towards your stomach if you lean forward). I also read an interesting paper about fetal positon during labour/delivery which showed that many babies which are b2b will turn in labour.

Me-charlotte.. all of mine have been back-to-back.. my uterus is slightly tilted in the wrong direction.. it is very common that first babies in particularly do not engage until you are actually in labour.. so that's not worth fretting about now.. They can turn even when in labour.. my sister turned breech minutes before delivery.. it is possible to safely birth a breech baby too.. you do not need to be subjected to a section look at all options before making a decision and do not expect hospital staff to give you accurate or impartial advice.

Mine was a back to back labour, only 'diagnosed' during labour, when the midwife said "your labouring like its back to back, let me feel...oh yes". Made no difference, baby still has to get out!

Hi everyone, I was having problems signing in and then when I did manage it I wrote a big post welcoming newbies and commenting on everyone's goings on and when I pressed submit it had timed out and I lost it all. So just gave up and have been reading everyone's posts! Sorry, just thought I'd sneak back in!

Saffagal so pleased for you finally getting somewhere.

Rambosmum I read your birth story, it sounded hard going but well done for getting through it. Hope you have support to get through the traumatic element and are able to enjoy your LO.

I'm 6.5 days away from finishing my main job (over the next 2 weeks). The half is because I have a 36week growth scan on my last day. I still have some paperwork to be getting on with for my 2nd job but don't have any work planned from them for before my maternity.

    Morning all :)
We had a busy weekend getting things sorted for baby, bought our new changing table, and last few hospital bag bits for me, and we sorted out all our baby stuff which has been stored in the garage since we moved in November. Cot assembled, though we will still need to rearrange the children's room a bit once we put the changer together. DD is very excited about the baby's bed being in her room, we keep having to remind her that the baby will sleep with us for a long time after it's born! Feeling a bit more organised, 35 weeks today and less than 4 weeks left at work :) :j Just a big pile of stuff to wash and put away now, it was all washed before storing originally but everything needs a freshen up.

Hope everyone else is ok :hello:

    Morning all :)

Sweetilemon, I loved counting down to the end of work! And it's getting nearer for you too Littlemoog.

It makes it all seem that much more real when you have the baby stuff sorted out again. Over the weekend we put up the bednest I've rented to have baby in our room - dd wanted to climb into it, she climbed into the cot last week! So spent a lot of time talking about how she is a big girl, has a big girl bed, can dress herself (because she's a big girl) and if she goes in the little baby bed, it will get broken. Mommy and Daddy and the cat can't go in it either as we're all also too big... she told me this morning it was only for the little baby so fingers crossed.

It feels so weird knowing this is my last ever Monday just with dd - bittersweet really. I'm terrified of how she's going to react initially; not with the baby, but with me. She is very much a "mommy's girl".

Over the weekend explained to her that a man doctor at the hospital is going to cut mommy's tummy to take baby out as baby is getting too big to stay in my tummy. But my tummy will be poorly so I have to sleep at the hospital and need her to come home and look after Daddy and the cat. DH will be with her whilst I'm in (apart from actual delivery when she'll be at nursery) so hoping it goes ok.

Had my last mw appt today, next time I see her will be at home next Monday fingers crossed. The student thought baby had moved to transverse, but mw believes baby is still head down, just with really long legs from what she could feel! Not long to find out...

Hope everyone has a good day today x
