Hope the scan is all ok Sweetilemon - why are you having a growth scan? We've always told the person doing the scan that we didn't want to know the sex at the start, just in case they strayed to that area!
Fingers crossed those babies get moving soon devildolly and frozen_penguin! I've read recently that most babys arrive after 41w, which certainly tallies with most people I know. My DD was born at 42w exactly, so not expecting this one to arrive much before then! The waiting is really frustrating though, I felt like I was being bombarded with calls/texts/emails etc, and all I wanted to do was hibernate until baby arrivedIt's like people thought I'd not tell them or something :rotfl:
I'm feeling really low the last few days, not sure what's up really. I had a rotten cold last week and still feel really tired, so it might just be that. I'm worrying a lot about the birth too, though hypnobirthing is supposed to be helping me to let go of that a bit. DH and I still can't agree whether to try for a homebirth, or to go with the MLU, so it feels a bit up in the air. I really want a homebirth, but I accept that he'd be more comfortable with MLU. The trouble is our local one is only 2 rooms, so if they're busy we'd be put on the obstetric unit instead, which is really the opposite of what I want and where it all went wrong last time. Conversely, I'm worried that if I insist on a homebirth, and things go wrong he'll blame me, or if we end up transferring or with repeat section anyway we'll have put so much time and effort into it and it will feel like a waste. argh!Little monkey born November 2012:jFroglet due March 20160 -
Happy due date to the three of you! Hope things get moving for you all. I'm quite lucky that my due date isn't actually my due date, so I *shouldn't* get bombarded with calls and texts asking if they're here yet!
Haha yeah I was thinking that they need to have good taste!
Oh Moog, I feel for you. I think at the end of the day you need to do what makes you feel the most comfortable. I understand why your OH wants you to be in MLU but like you said the risk of you ending up on obstetrics again sounds quite high. Our Rainbow Twins born 17th April 2016

Pigpen 3lb 10oz, awww how cute, so tiny! Was that at full term?
I'm just on my way for my growth scan just now, hoping all is normal. I've heard a few people say they aren't too accurate pigpen. I suspect I might have a long baby too, my dad and husband are both tall so might be in the genes!
no he was 30+5.. teeny little sprout. They said he would have all manner of problems and the only one he did have was the hospital failed to diagnose his lactose intolerance until he stopped breathing at 3 months old! I just got constantly accused of neglect until then.LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -

they actually give you a 5 week slot!! 37-42 weeks is 'full term'/due date time .. the single day due date is not for your benefit it is so all the staff are working to the same data.. its an even number pretty much in the middle.. in America they use the date 38 weeks from conception which is the exact same time really and also the reason you rarely see America women at 40+ weeks, they are induced then.. which is of course 42 over here.
If one MW used 37 weeks as full term and another used 42 they would get very different ideas of what was going on and what to expect.. and some just take a bit more cooking.
MrsSha.. not that great, it wasn't exactly a planned action and I am still not sure how it occurred, there had been no bedroom activity.. obviously it was the force so it will be Ja-Ja Binks in there!!..LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -

Just bumping the list as it was a few pages backWhen I was on first time around we used to make the people who'd passed EDD bold. I was stuck at the top for ages, didn't stop the rude people underneath me from queue jumping though

My DD was a 42 weeker, and I'd been top of the list for about 4 weeks before she arrived! There were a lot more people on the list then (about 70 IIRC!) so a lot more births to announce, I think I got queue jumped by about 8 people! :rotfl:Little monkey born November 2012:jFroglet due March 20160
