  • Congratulations to all the new mummies!

I gave birth to my little girl on 22nd December at 4.47am, following induction on my due date, 21st. She weighed 9lb 8oz, just had gas and air. I got my skin to skin contact straight away which was amazing.
Unfortunately my placenta wouldn't come away so I ended up in theatre to get it removed. All went ok though and we went home late that evening.

So tired with BF and letting hub sleep so he can see to our son and house, but she's worth every minute!

Good luck to all mums to be x

Hi all, sorry I have been AWOL. Busy time of year and with a newborn as well! Plus I ended up with an infection in my section wound which took hospital visits & 2 courses of antibiotics to shift. Fingers crossed all is ok now. Anyway, I had my little girl, Sophia, weighing 9lbs3ozs on 2nd December by elective c section. The whole process was far nicer than my previous emergency section although I didn't enjoy knowing exactly what was going on! Life is now very busy with 3 (DD is 3 & DS is 21m). But I am very happy and our little family is complete.

Congratulations to all other new mummies!

Congratulations bellola! Sounds like you have your hands full!

Koberts goodluck with the glucose test, I'm back on the 31st after mine. The test came back fine (blood taken before and after, 2 hrs waiting in a waiting room after a large orange sugar drink - take magazines!). My first blood test came back with sugars 0.1 above the normal range. She said outside pregnancy it's fine but enough to have my sugars monitored for signs of diabetes. I was really upset but hopefully it won't come of anything. Just a bit annoying I suppose. I just want everything to be ok for baby!
  • Thank you sweetilemon, I've been told about taking something to do so will definitely be taking a book or something. I have to take a bottle of Lucozade to drink. I hope your sugars stay stable.
  • Eek baby is coming tomorrow!!
Hopefully im not to excited to sleep!
Still here..... but working on that!
  • That's lucky kroberts, nicer than the juice I got. I was a bit nieve - had no idea I was stuck there for 2 hrs! If I'd known I would have taken headphones to watch sky go on my phone. Goodluck.

Oh my goodness littleskintdragon, how exciting!!! Hope you can get some sleep, you might need it when the baby arrives. Hope all goes well.
