Congratulations on the birth of your babies, Pinkshoes and horse76!
I've also got some news - my little boy, Chester Alexander Paul, was born in a hurry on Christmas eve, right on his due date!
I'd been having period-type pains for a few days but wasn't really expecting him to arrive on time. I started having contractions at 2am on Thurs morning and they ramped up quite quickly. I woke DH at 7am, my waters went just after 8am and then we dropped our little boy off at the in laws.
We arrived at the midwife-led birthing unit at 9am exactly and, after five or six pushes, he was out, at 9.19am, weighing 8lb 9oz!!
I nearly gave birth in the car and hospital corridor so the midwives said we should probably have got there a bit sooner! Totally different labour from the three-day, back to back, ending in forceps experience with my little boy!
Amazingly, we were out by 4pm and were able to celebrate Christmas with both sets of families as planned! So lucky!! 😃0 -
Congratulations pinkshoes, locky and horse.
Pinkshoes i hope youre all home together soon, it must be a nightmare driving that everyday.
Im counting down, 3 days until c-section, so not long to go. I was dreading going over xmas, but thankfully got to spendit with the other two and nothing happened! Phew!!
Feeling ok, but getting the same niggly feelings as everyone else and loads of tightenings.
Might try to go to the sales today, wont have a chance after baby is born and i could do with a new hairdryer.Still here..... but working on that!0 -
Quick login to let you know our son was born by elective c section on 22 Dec 15 at 12.55pm. Was a truly lovely experience and the staff who looked after us made sure we were as relaxed as possible. He was 6lb 10oz, so a good weight considering the growth concerns and we were home on Xmas eve. Needless to say we're completely besotted & sleep deprived.
Congrats to those with recent announcements & good luck to those nearing delivery day! xx0 -
Congratulations snow_ball. What a flurry of birth announcements we are having! Makes me a little jealous. Can't wait to meet my little one now.
After 3 days of 'niggles' I've had nothing today so I suspect it'll be a long while yet, oh well, more time to get on with sorting baby stuff.0 -

snowball congratulations, i was offered a c-section on the 22nd but was told i needed to prepare for three days in hospital as its my third, so i turned it down and the next date was the 30th! Which seemed ages after.

I go to bed every night like a child at Christmas wondering 'will tonight be the night' :rotfl: and when I wake up in the morning I'm so disappointed!
I'll probably not be saying that when in copious amounts of pain, but at the moment I just want to get a move on! The more I read about induction etc the more I also want to be able to go myself and not have interventions.
PS littleskintdragon, I try to leave it as late as possible and until I'm as tired as possible to go to bed, in an attempt to literally exhaust myself so that I can sleep. I find if I go before I'm properly tired I have a terrible night.

I would go to bed later but ds is happy to wake me up at 5am! He's 2. He was good this morning though and we made 7am, that was after lots of xmas excitement though.
I keep hoping too, even though i know im booked in for wed, and wont be pregnant by Thursday. It still feels like a lifetime away!Still here..... but working on that!0
