I've seen new colour packs for the vista on ebay I'm sure... maybe from America though... http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Uppababy-Vista-Seat-Fashion-Swap-Kit-Lindsey-/331135736744?pt=Strollers&hash=item4d193a5ba8
Thanks Emz, ordering a colour pack from America seems like a bit too much effort for me though to be honestand I know they don't do them as standard because since I found out I've asked in a few places and they all look at me as if I'm talking a foreign language when I ask if they do colour packs. I don't know where I got the idea from in the first place as originally I was convinced they do!
I've got the third trimester insomnia.....bleurgh. OH is lying next to me sleeping like a baby and I'm glaring jealously at him. Think it's due to big baby belly, achy hip and general restlessness. Oh and I'm boiling hot! Have also been watching OBEM this evening (the 1st in the new series as well as some we recorded from the old series) I literally cried the whole way through!!Our first baby due 25th May 2014 :T

Oh Lannieduck hope things improve from here on in! Congrats on the lovely little one!
Well after weeks of pram research and family constantly telling me to separate wants from needs, I've actually been weirdly impulsive and bought one online!
Now M&P have brought out the Sola2, they've reduced the Sola to £270. However some pram places are selling it for £199. However again, I got a bounty offers email reducing it to just £165! It lets baby lie flat from birth, removing the need for a carrycot. I've bought all terrain wheels at an extra £40 to use in bumpier walks and I've bought car seat adaptors at £30, but that's still £170 less than OH's planned limit of £400 and £270 less than the Silver Cross Wayfarer I was coveting! About 95% of the reviews online are good so I just hope they're right! OH's work isn't permanent right now and we need to save a house deposit so am trying to be as savvy as possible.
Can't sleep now in my desire to find other bargains lol x0 -

We went for the sola (is the sola2 a newer version?) I too am being rather frugal so have bought it on eBay for a bargainous £150 for the puschair, adapters for a car seat and matching changing bag, footmuff and a m&p car seat toy, she threw in the car seat too but I'm yet to decide if I'm going to use it, she did say it's never been in any kind of accident and it's in very good condition, I'm just not sure :-/
I'm really happy with it, it's in great condition - Its scarred me for life though because I had to drive through the spaghetti junction in Birmingham to go and pick it up...I actually cried lol!!0 -
Bargain cllola! I feel so much better now I have finally bought one and can stop obsessively researching. I know what you mean about the car seat, you can never be certain can you... at least you have the option and you could sell it on to pay towards your own ha! I have only ever driven a straight line across spaghetti juntion, never through all the weavy bits, that would stress me out too!
My parents are going to pay for the car seat...and isofix base if I hint enough! Although they seem to be willing to do anything for their first grandchild, they have bought themselves a mattress topper for when they stay out in their campervan and they've said I can use it the rest of the time! So that's MSE too lol, was thinking of getting one as my hips are starting to hurt at night and turning over hurts too!0 -
Either a mattress topper or if you have a spare one pop a duvet under your sheet to see if the extra padding does help before you buy one?
Also i've heard that getting satin pyjamas/nightdress helps with the whole turning over thing especially right near the end. Not tried this but might do in a few weeks time!0 -

Sounds a bit like fiveways on the purley way which is near where I live....a right nightmare!!
That's good that your parents are buying the car seat, often you can get good deals when you buy seat and base together so that could be your hintWe are really lucky and OHs parents are buying us the entire pram system along with car seat and two isofix bases because they want one for their car too. They're also buying us loads of stuff for our new house, so we've hardly had to spend any money so far - was a bit of a shock when we ordered the nursery furniture the other day because it's the first 'big' expense we've had, apart from paying for our antenatal classes!
It kind of goes two ways though, because of everything they are insisting on paying for it makes me then feel guilty for putting my foot down about stuff (i.e. the dog saga) because I end up feeling like I'm being ungrateful (like I feel like I'm all take take take and no give). In an ideal world I would have wanted OH and I to have been able to afford to buy everything ourselves and not take any help financially, but because of buying the house we would have really struggled if we'd done it all ourselves and probably ended up in a bit of debt for a while, and since becoming debt free a couple of years ago after years of paying back debt that an ex left me in, I never ever want to be in debt again (apart from a mortgage!). I think it comes from not having family of my own though, I've always felt more comfortable not relying on other people because I've grown up learning that if I rely on people I get screwed overOur first baby due 25th May 2014 :T

The sola was our next choice after the oyster, I thought it was nice and it's lightweight and folds down quite easily.
I might try that cllola as turning over is agony at that moment in my hips & pelvis.0 -
My hips kill me at night and I find it very laborious having to turn over, I've got a back support pillow that I wedge under my hip, then I have my dreamgenii wrapped round the other side of me, and I find that helps the hip pain, but it really makes it a royal pain when I wake up in the middle of the night and have to turn over because I have to remove everything, then turn, then put everything back again! I often end up accidentally elbowing OH in the face which he is becoming thrilled about, as you can imagine
I might try the silk pj thing but I think that would make me too hotOur first baby due 25th May 2014 :T
